The Ten Commandments | ||||

| 2 I am IAUA your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me. | B ENKI IAUA ELAIK EShR AUTsEThIK MERTs MTsRIM MBITh OBDIM LE-IAIA LK ELAIM EChRIM OL-FNI | ב אנכי יהוה אלהיך אשר הוצאתיך מארץ מצרים מבית עבדים לא-יהיה לך אלהים אחרים על-פני | ||
| 3 You shall not make to you a graven image, nor any manner of likeness, of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; | G LE-ThOShA LK FSL UKL-ThMUNA EShR BShMIM MMOL UEShR BERTs MThChTh UEShR BMIM MThChTh LERTs | ג לא-תעשה לך פסל וכל-תמונה אשר בשמים ממעל ואשר בארץ מתחת ואשר במים מתחת לארץ | ||
| 4 you shall not bow down to them, nor serve them; for I IAUA your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation of them that hate Me; | D LE-ThShThChUA LAM ULE ThOBDM KI ENKI IAUA ELAIK EL QNE FQD OUN EBTh OL-BNIM OL-ShLShIM UOL-RBOIM LShNEI | ד לא-תשתחוה להם ולא תעבדם כי אנכי יהוה אלהיך אל קנא פקד עון אבת על-בנים על-שלשים ועל-רבעים לשנאי | ||
| 5 and showing mercy to the thousandth generation of them that love Me and keep My commandments. | A UOShA ChSD LELFIM LEABI ULShMRI MTsUThI | ה ועשה חסד לאלפים לאהבי ולשמרי מצותי | ||
| 6 You shall not take the name of IAUA your God in vain; for IAUA will not hold him guiltless that takes His name in vain. | U LE ThShE ETh-ShM-IAUA ELAIK LShUE KI LE INQA IAUA ETh EShR-IShE ETh-ShMU LShUE | ו לא תשא את-שם-יהוה אלהיך לשוא כי לא ינקה יהוה את אשר-ישא את-שמו לשוא | ||
| 7 Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. | Z ZKUR ETh-IUM AShBTh LQDShU | ז זכור את-יום השבת לקדשו | ||
| 8 Six days shall you labor, and do all your work; | Ch ShShTh IMIM ThOBD UOShITh KL-MLEKThK | ח ששת ימים תעבד ועשית כל-מלאכתך | ||
| 9 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to IAUA your God, in it you shall not do any manner of work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your man-servant, nor your maid-servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger that is within your gates; | T UIUM AShBIOI ShBTh LIAUA ELAIK LE-ThOShA KL-MLEKA EThA UBNK UBThK OBDK UEMThK UBAMThK UGRK EShR BShORIK | ט ויום השביעי שבת ליהוה אלהיך לא-תעשה כל-מלאכה אתה ובנך ובתך עבדך ואמתך ובהמתך וגרך אשר בשעריך | ||
| 10 for in six days IAUA made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested on the seventh day; wherefore IAUA blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it. | I KI ShShTh-IMIM OShA IAUA ETh-AShMIM UETh-AERTs ETh-AIM UETh-KL-EShR-BM UINCh BIUM AShBIOI OL-KN BRK IAUA ETh-IUM AShBTh UIQDShAU | י כי ששת-ימים עשה יהוה את-השמים ואת-הארץ את-הים ואת-כל-אשר-בם וינח ביום השביעי על-כן ברך יהוה את-יום השבת ויקדשהו | ||
| 11 Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long on the land which IAUA your God gives you. | IE KBD ETh-EBIK UETh-EMK LMON IERKUN IMIK OL AEDMA EShR-IAUA ELAIK NThN LK | יא כבד את-אביך ואת-אמך למען יארכון ימיך על האדמה אשר-יהוה אלהיך נתן לך | ||
| 12 You shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. | IB LE ThRTsCh LE ThNEF LE ThGNB LE-ThONA BROK OD ShQR | יב לא תרצח לא תנאף לא תגנב לא-תענה ברעך עד שקר | ||
| 13 You shall not covet your neighbors' house; you shall not covet your neighbors' wife, nor his man-servant, nor his maid-servant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is your neighbors'. | IG LE ThChMD BITh ROK LE-ThChMD EShTh ROK UOBDU UEMThU UShURU UChMRU UKL EShR LROK | יג לא תחמד בית רעך לא-תחמד אשת רעך ועבדו ואמתו ושורו וחמרו וכל אשר לרעך | ||
| 14 All the people perceived the thundering, and the lightning, and the voice of the horn, and the mountain smoking; and when the people saw it, they trembled, and stood afar off. | ID UKL-AOM REIM ETh-AQULTh UETh-ALFIDM UETh QUL AShFR UETh-AAR OShN UIRE AOM UINOU UIOMDU MRChQ | יד וכל-העם ראים את-הקולת ואת-הלפידם ואת קול השפר ואת-ההר עשן וירא העם וינעו ויעמדו מרחק | ||
| 15 They said to Moses: 'Speak you with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, unless we die.' | TU UIEMRU EL-MShA DBR-EThA OMNU UNShMOA UEL-IDBR OMNU ELAIM FN-NMUTh | טו ויאמרו אל-משה דבר-אתה עמנו ונשמעה ואל-ידבר עמנו אלהים פן-נמות | ||
| 16 Moses said to the people: 'Fear not; for God is come to prove you, and that His fear may be before you, that you sin not.' | TZ UIEMR MShA EL-AOM EL-ThIREU KI LBOBUR NSUTh EThKM BE AELAIM UBOBUR ThAIA IREThU OL-FNIKM LBLThI ThChTEU | טז ויאמר משה אל-העם אל-תיראו כי לבעבור נסות אתכם בא האלהים ובעבור תהיה יראתו על-פניכם לבלתי תחטאו | ||
| 17 The people stood afar off; but Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was. | IZ UIOMD AOM MRChQ UMShA NGSh EL-AORFL EShR-ShM AELAIM | יז ויעמד העם מרחק ומשה נגש אל-הערפל אשר-שם האלהים | ||
| 18 IAUA said to Moses: Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: You yourselves have seen that I have talked with you from heaven. | ICh UIEMR IAUA EL-MShA KA ThEMR EL-BNI IShREL EThM REIThM KI MN-AShMIM DBRThI OMKM | יח ויאמר יהוה אל-משה כה תאמר אל-בני ישראל אתם ראיתם כי מן-השמים דברתי עמכם | ||
| 19 You shall not make with Me--gods of silver, or gods of gold, you shall not make to you. | IT LE ThOShUN EThI ELAI KSF UELAI ZAB LE ThOShU LKM | יט לא תעשון אתי אלהי כסף ואלהי זהב לא תעשו לכם | ||
| 20 An altar of earth you shall make to Me, and shall sacrifice thereon your burnt-offerings, and your peace-offerings, your sheep, and your oxen; in every place where I cause My name to be mentioned I will come to you and bless you. | K MZBCh EDMA ThOShA-LI UZBChTh OLIU ETh-OLThIK UETh-ShLMIK ETh-TsENK UETh-BQRK BKL-AMQUM EShR EZKIR ETh-ShMI EBUE ELIK UBRKThIK | כ מזבח אדמה תעשה-לי וזבחת עליו את-עלתיך ואת-שלמיך את-צאנך ואת-בקרך בכל-המקום אשר אזכיר את-שמי אבוא אליך וברכתיך | ||
| 21 If you make Me an altar of stone, you shall not build it of hewn stones; for if you lift up your tool on it, you have profaned it. | KE UEM-MZBCh EBNIM ThOShA-LI LE-ThBNA EThAN GZITh KI ChRBK ANFTh OLIA UThChLLA | כא ואם-מזבח אבנים תעשה-לי לא-תבנה אתהן גזית כי חרבך הנפת עליה ותחללה | ||
| 22 Neither shall you go up by steps to Mine altar, that your nakedness be not uncovered thereon. | KB ULE-ThOLA BMOLTh OL-MZBChI EShR LE-ThGLA ORUThK OLIU | כב ולא-תעלה במעלת על-מזבחי אשר לא-תגלה ערותך עליו | ||
