| 2 'Speak to the children of Israel, that they turn back and encamp before Pi-hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, before Baal-zephon, over against it shall you encamp by the sea. | B DBR EL-BNI IShREL UIShBU UIChNU LFNI FI AChIRTh BIN MGDL UBIN AIM LFNI BOL TsFN NKChU ThChNU OL-AIM | ב דבר אל-בני ישראל וישבו ויחנו לפני פי החירת בין מגדל ובין הים לפני בעל צפן נכחו תחנו על-הים | ||
| 3 Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel: They are entangled in the land, the wilderness has shut them in. | G UEMR FROA LBNI IShREL NBKIM AM BERTs SGR OLIAM AMDBR | ג ואמר פרעה לבני ישראל נבכים הם בארץ סגר עליהם המדבר | ||
| 4 I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and he shall follow after them; and I will get Me honor on Pharaoh, and on all his host; and the Egyptians shall know that I am IAUA.' | 5 It was told the king of Egypt that the people were fled; and the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned towards the people, and they said: 'What is this we have done, that we have let Israel go from serving us? | A UIGD LMLK MTsRIM KI BRCh AOM UIAFK LBB FROA UOBDIU EL-AOM UIEMRU MA-ZETh OShINU KI-ShLChNU ETh-IShREL MOBDNU | ה ויגד למלך מצרים כי ברח העם ויהפך לבב פרעה ועבדיו אל-העם ויאמרו מה-זאת עשינו כי-שלחנו את-ישראל מעבדנו | ||
| 6 He made ready his chariots, and took his people with him. | U UIESR ETh-RKBU UETh-OMU LQCh OMU | ו ויאסר את-רכבו ואת-עמו לקח עמו | ||
| 7 He took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, and captains over all of them. | Z UIQCh ShSh-MEUTh RKB BChUR UKL RKB MTsRIM UShLShM OL-KLU | ז ויקח שש-מאות רכב בחור וכל רכב מצרים ושלשם על-כלו | ||
| 8 IAUA hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Israel; for the children of Israel went out with a high hand. | Ch UIChZQ IAUA ETh-LB FROA MLK MTsRIM UIRDF EChRI BNI IShREL UBNI IShREL ITsEIM BID RMA | ח ויחזק יהוה את-לב פרעה מלך מצרים וירדף אחרי בני ישראל ובני ישראל יצאים ביד רמה | ||
| 9 The Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pi-hahiroth, in front of Baal-zephon. | T UIRDFU MTsRIM EChRIAM UIShIGU EUThM ChNIM OL-AIM KL-SUS RKB FROA UFRShIU UChILU OL-FI AChIRTh LFNI BOL TsFN | ט וירדפו מצרים אחריהם וישיגו אותם חנים על-הים כל-סוס רכב פרעה ופרשיו וחילו על-פי החירת לפני בעל צפן | ||
| 10 When Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians were marching after them; and they were sore afraid; and the children of Israel cried out to IAUA. | I UFROA AQRIB UIShEU BNI-IShREL ETh-OINIAM UANA MTsRIM NSO EChRIAM UIIREU MED UITsOQU BNI-IShREL EL-IAUA | י ופרעה הקריב וישאו בני-ישראל את-עיניהם והנה מצרים נסע אחריהם וייראו מאד ויצעקו בני-ישראל אל-יהוה | ||

| 12 Is not this the word that we spoke to you in Egypt, saying: Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? | 13 Moses said to the people: 'Fear you not, stand still, and see the salvation of IAUA, which He will work for you to-day; for whereas you have seen the Egyptians to-day, you shall see them again no more for ever. | IG UIEMR MShA EL-AOM EL-ThIREU AThITsBU UREU ETh-IShUOTh IAUA EShR-IOShA LKM AIUM KI EShR REIThM ETh-MTsRIM AIUM LE ThSFU LREThM OUD OD-OULM | יג ויאמר משה אל-העם אל-תיראו התיצבו וראו את-ישועת יהוה אשר-יעשה לכם היום כי אשר ראיתם את-מצרים היום לא תספו לראתם עוד עד-עולם | ||
| 14 IAUA will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.' | ID IAUA ILChM LKM UEThM ThChRShUN | יד יהוה ילחם לכם ואתם תחרשון | ||
| 15 IAUA said to Moses: 'Wherefore cry you to Me? speak to the children of Israel, that they go forward. | TU UIEMR IAUA EL-MShA MA-ThTsOQ ELI DBR EL-BNI-IShREL UISOU | טו ויאמר יהוה אל-משה מה-תצעק אלי דבר אל-בני-ישראל ויסעו | ||
| 16 Lift you up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea, and divide it; and the children of Israel shall go into the middle of the sea on dry ground. | TZ UEThA ARM ETh-MTK UNTA ETh-IDK OL-AIM UBQOAU UIBEU BNI-IShREL BThUK AIM BIBShA | טז ואתה הרם את-מטך ונטה את-ידך על-הים ובקעהו ויבאו בני-ישראל בתוך הים ביבשה | ||
| 17 I, behold, I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they shall go in after them; and I will get Me honor on Pharaoh, and on all his host, on his chariots, and on his horsemen. | IZ UENI ANNI MChZQ ETh-LB MTsRIM UIBEU EChRIAM UEKBDA BFROA UBKL-ChILU BRKBU UBFRShIU | יז ואני הנני מחזק את-לב מצרים ויבאו אחריהם ואכבדה בפרעה ובכל-חילו ברכבו ובפרשיו | ||
| 18 The Egyptians shall know that I am IAUA, when I have gotten Me honor on Pharaoh, on his chariots, and on his horsemen.' | ICh UIDOU MTsRIM KI-ENI IAUA BAKBDI BFROA BRKBU UBFRShIU | יח וידעו מצרים כי-אני יהוה בהכבדי בפרעה ברכבו ובפרשיו | ||
| 19 The angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud removed from before them, and stood behind them; | IT UISO MLEK AELAIM AALK LFNI MChNA IShREL UILK MEChRIAM UISO OMUD AONN MFNIAM UIOMD MEChRIAM | יט ויסע מלאך האלהים ההלך לפני מחנה ישראל וילך מאחריהם ויסע עמוד הענן מפניהם ויעמד מאחריהם | ||
| 20 and it came between the camp of Egypt and the camp of Israel; and there was the cloud and the darkness here, yet gave it light by night there; and the one came not near the other all the night. | K UIBE BIN MChNA MTsRIM UBIN MChNA IShREL UIAI AONN UAChShK UIER ETh-ALILA ULE-QRB ZA EL-ZA KL-ALILA | כ ויבא בין מחנה מצרים ובין מחנה ישראל ויהי הענן והחשך ויאר את-הלילה ולא-קרב זה אל-זה כל-הלילה | ||
| 21 Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and IAUA caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all the night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. | KE UIT MShA ETh-IDU OL-AIM UIULK IAUA ETh-AIM BRUCh QDIM OZA KL-ALILA UIShM ETh-AIM LChRBA UIBQOU AMIM | כא ויט משה את-ידו על-הים ויולך יהוה את-הים ברוח קדים עזה כל-הלילה וישם את-הים לחרבה ויבקעו המים | ||
| 22 The children of Israel went into the middle of the sea on the dry ground; and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand, and on their left. | KB UIBEU BNI-IShREL BThUK AIM BIBShA UAMIM LAM ChUMA MIMINM UMShMELM | כב ויבאו בני-ישראל בתוך הים ביבשה והמים להם חומה מימינם ומשמאלם | ||
| 23 The Egyptians pursued, and went in after them into the middle of the sea, all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen. | KG UIRDFU MTsRIM UIBEU EChRIAM KL SUS FROA RKBU UFRShIU EL-ThUK AIM | כג וירדפו מצרים ויבאו אחריהם כל סוס פרעה רכבו ופרשיו אל-תוך הים | ||

| 25 He took off their chariot wheels, and made them to drive heavily; so that the Egyptians said: 'Let us flee from the face of Israel; for IAUA fights for them against the Egyptians.' | KA UISR ETh EFN MRKBThIU UINAGAU BKBDTh UIEMR MTsRIM ENUSA MFNI IShREL KI IAUA NLChM LAM BMTsRIM | כה ויסר את אפן מרכבתיו וינהגהו בכבדת ויאמר מצרים אנוסה מפני ישראל כי יהוה נלחם להם במצרים | ||
| 26 IAUA said to Moses: 'Stretch out your hand over the sea, that the waters may come back on the Egyptians, on their chariots, and on their horsemen.' | KU UIEMR IAUA EL-MShA NTA ETh-IDK OL-AIM UIShBU AMIM OL-MTsRIM OL-RKBU UOL-FRShIU | כו ויאמר יהוה אל-משה נטה את-ידך על-הים וישבו המים על-מצרים על-רכבו ועל-פרשיו | ||
