The Passover Lamb | ||||

| 2 'This month will be the beginning of months. I will be the first month of the year for you. | B AChDSh AZA LKM RESh ChDShIM REShUN AUE LKM LChDShI AShNA | ב החדש הזה לכם ראש חדשים ראשון הוא לכם לחדשי השנה | ||
| 3 Speak you to all the congregation of Israel, saying: In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to their fathers' houses, a lamb for a household; | G DBRU EL-KL-ODTh IShREL LEMR BOShR LChDSh AZA UIQChU LAM EISh ShA LBITh-EBTh ShA LBITh | ג דברו אל-כל-עדת ישראל לאמר בעשר לחדש הזה ויקחו להם איש שה לבית-אבת שה לבית | ||

| 5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year; you shall take it from the sheep, or from the goats; | A ShA ThMIM ZKR BN-ShNA IAIA LKM MN-AKBShIM UMN-AOZIM ThQChU | ה שה תמים זכר בן-שנה יהיה לכם מן-הכבשים ומן-העזים תקחו | ||
| 6 and you shall keep it to the fourteenth day of the same month; and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it at dusk. | U UAIA LKM LMShMRTh OD ERBOA OShR IUM LChDSh AZA UShChTU EThU KL QAL ODTh-IShREL BIN AORBIM | ו והיה לכם למשמרת עד ארבעה עשר יום לחדש הזה ושחטו אתו כל קהל עדת-ישראל בין הערבים | ||
| 7 They shall take of the blood, and put it on the two side-posts and on the lintel of the houses wherein they shall eat it. | Z ULQChU MN-ADM UNThNU OL-ShThI AMZUZTh UOL-AMShQUF OL ABThIM EShR-IEKLU EThU BAM | ז ולקחו מן-הדם ונתנו על-שתי המזוזת ועל-המשקוף על הבתים אשר-יאכלו אתו בהם | ||
| 8 They shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; with bitter herbs they shall eat it. | Ch UEKLU ETh-ABShR BLILA AZA TsLI-ESh UMTsUTh OL-MRRIM IEKLAU | ח ואכלו את-הבשר בלילה הזה צלי-אש ומצות על-מררים יאכלהו | ||
| 9 Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; its head with its legs and with the inwards thereof. | T EL-ThEKLU MMNU NE UBShL MBShL BMIM KI EM-TsLI-ESh REShU OL-KROIU UOL-QRBU | ט אל-תאכלו ממנו נא ובשל מבשל במים כי אם-צלי-אש ראשו על-כרעיו ועל-קרבו | ||
| 10 You shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; but that which remains of it until the morning you shall burn with fire. | I ULE-ThUThIRU MMNU OD-BQR UANThR MMNU OD-BQR BESh ThShRFU | י ולא-תותירו ממנו עד-בקר והנתר ממנו עד-בקר באש תשרפו | ||
| 11 Thus shall you eat it: with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it in haste--it is IAUA's passover. | IE UKKA ThEKLU EThU MThNIKM ChGRIM NOLIKM BRGLIKM UMQLKM BIDKM UEKLThM EThU BChFZUN FSCh AUE LIAUA | יא וככה תאכלו אתו מתניכם חגרים נעליכם ברגליכם ומקלכם בידכם ואכלתם אתו בחפזון פסח הוא ליהוה | ||

| 19 Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses; for whosoever eats that which is leavened, that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a sojourner, or one that is born in the land. | IT ShBOTh IMIM ShER LE IMTsE BBThIKM KI KL-EKL MChMTsTh UNKRThA ANFSh AAUE MODTh IShREL BGR UBEZRCh AERTs | יט שבעת ימים שאר לא ימצא בבתיכם כי כל-אכל מחמצת ונכרתה הנפש ההוא מעדת ישראל בגר ובאזרח הארץ | ||
| 20 You shall eat nothing leavened; in all your habitations shall you eat unleavened bread.' | K KL-MChMTsTh LE ThEKLU BKL MUShBThIKM ThEKLU MTsUTh | כ כל-מחמצת לא תאכלו בכל מושבתיכם תאכלו מצות | ||
| 21 Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said to them: 'Draw out, and take you lambs according to your families, and kill the passover lamb. | KE UIQRE MShA LKL-ZQNI IShREL UIEMR ELAM MShKU UQChU LKM TsEN LMShFChThIKM UShChTU AFSCh | כא ויקרא משה לכל-זקני ישראל ויאמר אלהם משכו וקחו לכם צאן למשפחתיכם ושחטו הפסח | ||

| 24 You shall observe this thing for an ordinance to you and to your sons for ever. | KD UShMRThM ETh-ADBR AZA LChQ-LK ULBNIK OD-OULM | כד ושמרתם את-הדבר הזה לחק-לך ולבניך עד-עולם | ||
| 25 It shall come to pass, when you be come to the land which IAUA will give you, according as He has promised, that you shall keep this service. | KA UAIA KI-ThBEU EL-AERTs EShR IThN IAUA LKM KEShR DBR UShMRThM ETh-AOBDA AZETh | כה והיה כי-תבאו אל-הארץ אשר יתן יהוה לכם כאשר דבר ושמרתם את-העבדה הזאת | ||
| 26 It shall come to pass, when your children shall say to you: What mean you by this service? | KU UAIA KI-IEMRU ELIKM BNIKM MA AOBDA AZETh LKM | כו והיה כי-יאמרו אליכם בניכם מה העבדה הזאת לכם | ||
| 27 that you shall say: It is the sacrifice of IAUA's passover, for that He passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when He smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses.' | 46 In one house shall it be eaten; you shall not carry forth aught of the flesh abroad out of the house; neither shall you break a bone thereof. | MU BBITh EChD IEKL LE-ThUTsIE MN-ABITh MN-ABShR ChUTsA UOTsM LE ThShBRU-BU | מו בבית אחד יאכל לא-תוציא מן-הבית מן-הבשר חוצה ועצם לא תשברו-בו | ||

| 48 When a stranger shall sojourn with you, and will keep the passover to IAUA, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land; but no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof. | MCh UKI-IGUR EThK GR UOShA FSCh LIAUA AMUL LU KL-ZKR UEZ IQRB LOShThU UAIA KEZRCh AERTs UKL-ORL LE-IEKL BU | מח וכי-יגור אתך גר ועשה פסח ליהוה המול לו כל-זכר ואז יקרב לעשתו והיה כאזרח הארץ וכל-ערל לא-יאכל בו | ||
