"I Will Stretch Out My Hand"

2 You shall speak all that I command you; and Aaron your brother shall speak to Pharaoh, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land. 3 I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and increase My signs and My wonders in the land of Egypt. G UENI EQShA ETh-LB FROA UARBIThI ETh-EThThI UETh-MUFThI BERTs MTsRIM ג ואני אקשה את-לב פרעה והרביתי את-אתתי ואת-מופתי בארץ מצרים
4 But Pharaoh will not hearken to you, and I will lay My hand on Egypt, and bring forth My hosts, My people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt, by great judgments. 9 'When Pharaoh shall speak to you, saying: Show a wonder for you; then you shall say to Aaron: Take your rod, and cast it down before Pharaoh, that it become a serpent.' 10 Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and they did so, as IAUA had commanded; and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh and before his servants, and it became a serpent. 11 Then Pharaoh also called for the wise men and the sorcerers; and they also, the magicians of Egypt, did in like manner with their secret arts. IE UIQRE GM-FROA LChKMIM ULMKShFIM UIOShU GM-AM ChRTMI MTsRIM BLATIAM KN יא ויקרא גם-פרעה לחכמים ולמכשפים ויעשו גם-הם חרטמי מצרים בלהטיהם כן
12 For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents; but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods. IB UIShLIKU EISh MTAU UIAIU LThNINM UIBLO MTA-EARN ETh-MTThM יב וישליכו איש מטהו ויהיו לתנינם ויבלע מטה-אהרן את-מטתם
13 Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he hearkened not to them; as IAUA had spoken. IG UIChZQ LB FROA ULE ShMO ELAM KEShR DBR IAUA יג ויחזק לב פרעה ולא שמע אלהם כאשר דבר יהוה
14 IAUA said to Moses: 'Pharaoh's heart is stubborn, he refuses to let the people go. ID UIEMR IAUA EL-MShA KBD LB FROA MEN LShLCh AOM יד ויאמר יהוה אל-משה כבד לב פרעה מאן לשלח העם
15 Get you to Pharaoh in the morning; lo, he goes out to the water; and you shall stand by the river's brink to meet him; and the rod which was turned to a serpent shall you take in your hand. 16 You shall say to him: IAUA, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to you, saying: Let My people go, that they may serve Me in the wilderness; and, behold, hitherto you have not hearkened; TZ UEMRTh ELIU IAUA ELAI AOBRIM ShLChNI ELIK LEMR ShLCh ETh-OMI UIOBDNI BMDBR UANA LE-ShMOTh OD-KA טז ואמרת אליו יהוה אלהי העברים שלחני אליך לאמר שלח את-עמי ויעבדני במדבר והנה לא-שמעת עד-כה
17 thus says IAUA: In this you shall know that I am IAUA--behold, I will smite with the rod that is in my hand on the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood. 18 The fish that are in the river shall die, and the river shall become foul; and the Egyptians shall loathe to drink water from the river.' ICh UADGA EShR-BIER ThMUTh UBESh AIER UNLEU MTsRIM LShThUTh MIM MN-AIER יח והדגה אשר-ביאר תמות ובאש היאר ונלאו מצרים לשתות מים מן-היאר
19 IAUA said to Moses: 'Say to Aaron: Take your rod, and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt, over their rivers, over their streams, and over their pools, and over all their ponds of water, that they may become blood; and there shall be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood and in vessels of stone.' 20 Moses and Aaron did so, as IAUA commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood. 21 The fish that were in the river died; and the river became foul, and the Egyptians could not drink water from the river; and the blood was throughout all the land of Egypt. 22 The magicians of Egypt did in like manner with their secret arts; and Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he hearkened not to them; as IAUA had spoken. 24 All the Egyptians dug round about the river for water to drink; for they could not drink of the water of the river. KD UIChFRU KL-MTsRIM SBIBTh AIER MIM LShThUTh KI LE IKLU LShThTh MMIMI AIER כד ויחפרו כל-מצרים סביבת היאר מים לשתות כי לא יכלו לשתת ממימי היאר
25 Seven days were fulfilled, after that IAUA had smitten the river. KA UIMLE ShBOTh IMIM EChRI AKUTh-IAUA ETh-AIER כה וימלא שבעת ימים אחרי הכות-יהוה את-היאר
26 IAUA spoke to Moses: 'Go in to Pharaoh, and say to him: Thus says IAUA: Let My people go, that they may serve Me. KU UIEMR IAUA EL-MShA BE EL-FROA UEMRTh ELIU KA EMR IAUA ShLCh ETh-OMI UIOBDNI כו ויאמר יהוה אל-משה בא אל-פרעה ואמרת אליו כה אמר יהוה שלח את-עמי ויעבדני
27 If you refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all your borders with frogs. KZ UEM-MEN EThA LShLCh ANA ENKI NGF ETh-KL-GBULK BTsFRDOIM כז ואם-מאן אתה לשלח הנה אנכי נגף את-כל-גבולך בצפרדעים
28 The river shall swarm with frogs, which shall go up and come into your house, and into your bed-chamber, and on your bed, and into the house of your servants, and on your people, and into your ovens, and into your kneading-troughs. 2 You shall speak all that I command you; and Aaron your brother shall speak to Pharaoh, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land.
