A Call to Repentance | ||||

| 2 'IAUA has been sore displeased with your fathers. | B QTsF IAUA OL-EBUThIKM QTsF | ב קצף יהוה על-אבותיכם קצף | ||
| 3 Therefore say you to them, Thus says IAUA of hosts: Return to Me, says IAUA of hosts, and I will return to you, says IAUA of hosts. | G UEMRTh ELAM KA EMR IAUA TsBEUTh ShUBU ELI NEM IAUA TsBEUTh UEShUB ELIKM EMR IAUA TsBEUTh | ג ואמרת אלהם כה אמר יהוה צבאות שובו אלי נאם יהוה צבאות ואשוב אליכם אמר יהוה צבאות | ||
| 4 Be you not as your fathers, to whom the former prophets proclaimed, saying: Thus says IAUA of hosts: Return you now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings; but they did not hear, nor attend to Me, says IAUA. | D EL-ThAIU KEBThIKM EShR QREU-ELIAM ANBIEIM AREShNIM LEMR KA EMR IAUA TsBEUTh ShUBU NE MDRKIKM AROIM UMOLILIKM (UMOLLIKM) AROIM ULE ShMOU ULE-AQShIBU ELI NEM-IAUA | ד אל-תהיו כאבתיכם אשר קראו-אליהם הנביאים הראשנים לאמר כה אמר יהוה צבאות שובו נא מדרכיכם הרעים ומעליליכם (ומעלליכם) הרעים ולא שמעו ולא-הקשיבו אלי נאם-יהוה | ||
| 5 Your fathers, where are they? and the prophets, do they live for ever? | A EBUThIKM EIA-AM UANBEIM ALOULM IChIU | ה אבותיכם איה-הם והנבאים הלעולם יחיו | ||
| 6 But My words and My statutes, which I commanded My servants the prophets, did they not overtake your fathers? so that they turned and said: Like as IAUA of hosts purposed to do to us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so has He dealt with us.' | U EK DBRI UChQI EShR TsUIThI ETh-OBDI ANBIEIM ALUE AShIGU EBThIKM UIShUBU UIEMRU KEShR ZMM IAUA TsBEUTh LOShUTh LNU KDRKINU UKMOLLINU KN OShA EThNU | ו אך דברי וחקי אשר צויתי את-עבדי הנביאים הלוא השיגו אבתיכם וישובו ויאמרו כאשר זמם יהוה צבאות לעשות לנו כדרכינו וכמעללינו כן עשה אתנו | ||

| 8 I saw in the night, and behold a man riding on a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle-trees that were in the bottom; and behind him there were horses, red, sorrel, and white. | Ch REIThI ALILA UANA-EISh RKB OL-SUS EDM UAUE OMD BIN AADSIM EShR BMTsLA UEChRIU SUSIM EDMIM ShRQIM ULBNIM | ח ראיתי הלילה והנה-איש רכב על-סוס אדם והוא עמד בין ההדסים אשר במצלה ואחריו סוסים אדמים שרקים ולבנים | ||
| 9 Then said I: 'O my lord, what are these?' The angel that spoke with me said to me: 'I will show you what these are.' | T UEMR MA-ELA EDNI UIEMR ELI AMLEK ADBR BI ENI EREK MA-AMA ELA | ט ואמר מה-אלה אדני ויאמר אלי המלאך הדבר בי אני אראך מה-המה אלה | ||
| 10 The man that stood among the myrtle-trees answered and said: 'These are they whom IAUA has sent to walk to and fro through the earth.' | I UION AEISh AOMD BIN-AADSIM UIEMR ELA EShR ShLCh IAUA LAThALK BERTs | י ויען האיש העמד בין-ההדסים ויאמר אלה אשר שלח יהוה להתהלך בארץ | ||
| 11 They answered the angel of IAUA that stood among the myrtle-trees, and said: 'We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sits still, and is at rest.' | IE UIONU ETh-MLEK IAUA AOMD BIN AADSIM UIEMRU AThALKNU BERTs UANA KL-AERTs IShBTh UShQTTh | יא ויענו את-מלאך יהוה העמד בין ההדסים ויאמרו התהלכנו בארץ והנה כל-הארץ ישבת ושקטת | ||
| 12 Then the angel of IAUA spoke and said: 'O IAUA of hosts, how long will You not have compassion on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which You have had indignation these threescore and ten years? | IB UION MLEK-IAUA UIEMR IAUA TsBEUTh OD-MThI EThA LE-ThRChM ETh-IRUShLM UETh ORI IAUDA EShR ZOMThA ZA ShBOIM ShNA | יב ויען מלאך-יהוה ויאמר יהוה צבאות עד-מתי אתה לא-תרחם את-ירושלם ואת ערי יהודה אשר זעמתה זה שבעים שנה | ||
| 13 IAUA answered the angel that spoke with me with good words, even comforting words-- | IG UION IAUA ETh-AMLEK ADBR BI DBRIM TUBIM DBRIM NChMIM | יג ויען יהוה את-המלאך הדבר בי דברים טובים דברים נחמים | ||
| 14 so the angel that spoke with me said to me: 'Proclaim you, saying: Thus says IAUA of hosts: I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy; | ID UIEMR ELI AMLEK ADBR BI QRE LEMR KA EMR IAUA TsBEUTh QNEThI LIRUShLM ULTsIUN QNEA GDULA | יד ויאמר אלי המלאך הדבר בי קרא לאמר כה אמר יהוה צבאות קנאתי לירושלם ולציון קנאה גדולה | ||
| 15 and I am very sore displeased with the nations that are at ease; for I was but a little displeased, and they helped for evil. | TU UQTsF GDUL ENI QTsF OL-AGUIM AShENNIM EShR ENI QTsFThI MOT UAMA OZRU LROA | טו וקצף גדול אני קצף על-הגוים השאננים אשר אני קצפתי מעט והמה עזרו לרעה | ||
| 16 Therefore thus says IAUA: I return to Jerusalem with compassions: My house shall be built in it, says IAUA of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth over Jerusalem. | TZ LKN KA-EMR IAUA ShBThI LIRUShLM BRChMIM BIThI IBNA BA NEM IAUA TsBEUTh UQUA (UQU) INTA OL-IRUShLM | טז לכן כה-אמר יהוה שבתי לירושלם ברחמים ביתי יבנה בה נאם יהוה צבאות וקוה (וקו) ינטה על-ירושלם | ||
| 17 Again, proclaim, saying: Thus says IAUA of hosts: My cities shall again overflow with prosperity; and IAUA shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.' | IZ OUD QRE LEMR KA EMR IAUA TsBEUTh OUD ThFUTsNA ORI MTUB UNChM IAUA OUD ETh-TsIUN UBChR OUD BIRUShLM | יז עוד קרא לאמר כה אמר יהוה צבאות עוד תפוצנה ערי מטוב ונחם יהוה עוד את-ציון ובחר עוד בירושלם | ||
