2 Hear this, all you peoples; give ear, all you inhabitants of the world, B ShMOU-ZETh KL-AOMIM AEZINU KL-IShBI ChLD ב שמעו-זאת כל-העמים האזינו כל-ישבי חלד
3 Both low and high, rich and poor together. G GM-BNI EDM GM-BNI-EISh IChD OShIR UEBIUN ג גם-בני אדם גם-בני-איש יחד עשיר ואביון
4 My mouth shall speak wisdom, and the meditation of my heart shall be understanding. D FI IDBR ChKMUTh UAGUTh LBI ThBUNUTh ד פי ידבר חכמות והגות לבי תבונות
5 I will incline mine ear to a parable; I will open my dark saying on the harp. A ETA LMShL EZNI EFThCh BKNUR ChIDThI ה אטה למשל אזני אפתח בכנור חידתי
6 Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil, when the iniquity of my supplanters compasses me about, U LMA EIRE BIMI RO OUN OQBI ISUBNI ו למה אירא בימי רע עון עקבי יסובני
7 Of them that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches? Z ABTChIM OL-ChILM UBRB OShRM IThALLU ז הבטחים על-חילם וברב עשרם יתהללו
8 No man can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him-- Ch ECh LE FDA IFDA EISh LE-IThN LELAIM KFRU ח אח לא פדה יפדה איש לא-יתן לאלהים כפרו
9 For too costly is the redemption of their soul, and must be let alone for ever-- T UIQR FDIUN NFShM UChDL LOULM ט ויקר פדיון נפשם וחדל לעולם
10 That he should still live alway, that he should not see the pit. I UIChI-OUD LNTsCh LE IREA AShChTh י ויחי-עוד לנצח לא יראה השחת
11 For he sees that wise men die, the fool and the brutish together perish, and leave their wealth to others. IE KI IREA ChKMIM IMUThU IChD KSIL UBOR IEBDU UOZBU LEChRIM ChILM יא כי יראה חכמים ימותו יחד כסיל ובער יאבדו ועזבו לאחרים חילם
12 Their inward thought is, that their houses shall continue for ever, and their dwelling-places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names. IB QRBM BThIMU LOULM MShKNThM LDUR UDR QREU BShMUThM OLI EDMUTh יב קרבם בתימו לעולם משכנתם לדור ודר קראו בשמותם עלי אדמות

15 Like sheep they are appointed for the nether-world; death shall be their shepherd; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their form shall be for the nether-world to wear away, that there be no habitation for it. 17 Be not you afraid when one waxes rich, when the wealth of his house is increased; IZ EL-ThIRE KI-IOShR EISh KI-IRBA KBUD BIThU יז אל-תירא כי-יעשר איש כי-ירבה כבוד ביתו
18 For when he dies he shall carry nothing away; his wealth shall not descend after him. ICh KI LE BMUThU IQCh AKL LE-IRD EChRIU KBUDU יח כי לא במותו יקח הכל לא-ירד אחריו כבודו
19 Though while he lived he blessed his soul: 'Men will praise you, when you shall do well to yourself'; IT KI-NFShU BChIIU IBRK UIUDK KI-ThITIB LK יט כי-נפשו בחייו יברך ויודך כי-תיטיב לך
20 It shall go to the generation of his fathers; they shall never see the light. K ThBUE OD-DUR EBUThIU OD-NTsCh LE IREU-EUR כ תבוא עד-דור אבותיו עד-נצח לא יראו-אור
