Duties of the Kohathites | ||||

| 2 'Take the sum of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, by their families, by their fathers' houses, | B NShE ETh-RESh BNI QATh MThUK BNI LUI LMShFChThM LBITh EBThM | ב נשא את-ראש בני קהת מתוך בני לוי למשפחתם לבית אבתם | ||
| 3 from thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all that enter on the service, to do work in the tent of Holy Days. | G MBN ShLShIM ShNA UMOLA UOD BN-ChMShIM ShNA KL-BE LTsBE LOShUTh MLEKA BEAL MUOD | ג מבן שלשים שנה ומעלה ועד בן-חמשים שנה כל-בא לצבא לעשות מלאכה באהל מועד | ||
| 4 This is the service of the sons of Kohath in the tent of Holy Days, about the most holy things: | D ZETh OBDTh BNI-QATh BEAL MUOD QDSh AQDShIM | ד זאת עבדת בני-קהת באהל מועד קדש הקדשים | ||
| 5 when the camp sets forward, Aaron shall go in, and his sons, and they shall take down the veil of the screen, and cover the ark of the testimony with it; | A UBE EARN UBNIU BNSO AMChNA UAURDU ETh FRKTh AMSK UKSU-BA ETh ERN AODTh | ה ובא אהרן ובניו בנסע המחנה והורדו את פרכת המסך וכסו-בה את ארן העדת | ||
| 6 and shall put thereon a covering of sealskin, and shall spread over it a cloth all of blue, and shall set the staves thereof. | U UNThNU OLIU KSUI OUR ThChSh UFRShU BGD-KLIL ThKLTh MLMOLA UShMU BDIU | ו ונתנו עליו כסוי עור תחש ופרשו בגד-כליל תכלת מלמעלה ושמו בדיו | ||

| 9 They shall take a cloth of blue, and cover the candlestick of the light, and its lamps, and its tongs, and its trays, and all the oil vessels thereof, wherewith they minister to it. | T ULQChU BGD ThKLTh UKSU ETh-MNRTh AMEUR UETh-NRThIA UETh-MLQChIA UETh-MChThThIA UETh KL-KLI ShMNA EShR IShRThU-LA BAM | ט ולקחו בגד תכלת וכסו את-מנרת המאור ואת-נרתיה ואת-מלקחיה ואת-מחתתיה ואת כל-כלי שמנה אשר ישרתו-לה בהם | ||
| 10 They shall put it and all the vessels thereof within a covering of sealskin, and shall put it on a bar. | I UNThNU EThA UETh-KL-KLIA EL-MKSA OUR ThChSh UNThNU OL-AMUT | י ונתנו אתה ואת-כל-כליה אל-מכסה עור תחש ונתנו על-המוט | ||
| 11 On the golden altar they shall spread a cloth of blue, and cover it with a covering of sealskin, and shall set the staves thereof. | IE UOL MZBCh AZAB IFRShU BGD ThKLTh UKSU EThU BMKSA OUR ThChSh UShMU ETh-BDIU | יא ועל מזבח הזהב יפרשו בגד תכלת וכסו אתו במכסה עור תחש ושמו את-בדיו | ||

| 13 They shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth thereon. | IG UDShNU ETh-AMZBCh UFRShU OLIU BGD ERGMN | יג ודשנו את-המזבח ופרשו עליו בגד ארגמן | ||

| 15 When Aaron and his sons have made an end of covering the holy furniture, and all the holy vessels, as the camp is to set forward--after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to bear them; but they shall not touch the holy things, unless they die. | 18 'Cut you not off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites; | ICh EL-ThKRIThU ETh-ShBT MShFChTh AQAThI MThUK ALUIM | יח אל-תכריתו את-שבט משפחת הקהתי מתוך הלוים | ||
| 19 but thus do to them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach to the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in, and appoint them every one to his service and to his burden; | IT UZETh OShU LAM UChIU ULE IMThU BGShThM ETh-QDSh AQDShIM EARN UBNIU IBEU UShMU EUThM EISh EISh OL-OBDThU UEL-MShEU | יט וזאת עשו להם וחיו ולא ימתו בגשתם את-קדש הקדשים אהרן ובניו יבאו ושמו אותם איש איש על-עבדתו ואל-משאו | ||

| 22 'Take the sum of the sons of Gershon also, by their fathers' houses, by their families; | KB NShE ETh-RESh BNI GRShUN GM-AM LBITh EBThM LMShFChThM | כב נשא את-ראש בני גרשון גם-הם לבית אבתם למשפחתם | ||
| 23 from thirty years old and upward until fifty years old shall you number them: all that enter in to wait on the service, to do service in the tent of Holy Days. | KG MBN ShLShIM ShNA UMOLA OD BN-ChMShIM ShNA ThFQD EUThM KL-ABE LTsBE TsBE LOBD OBDA BEAL MUOD | כג מבן שלשים שנה ומעלה עד בן-חמשים שנה תפקד אותם כל-הבא לצבא צבא לעבד עבדה באהל מועד | ||
| 24 This is the service of the families of the Gershonites, in serving and in bearing burdens: | KD ZETh OBDTh MShFChTh AGRShNI LOBD ULMShE | כד זאת עבדת משפחת הגרשני לעבד ולמשא | ||
| 25 they shall bear the curtains of the tabernacle, and the tent of Holy Days, its covering, and the covering of sealskin that is above on it, and the screen for the door of the tent of Holy Days; | KA UNShEU ETh-IRIOTh AMShKN UETh-EAL MUOD MKSAU UMKSA AThChSh EShR-OLIU MLMOLA UETh-MSK FThCh EAL MUOD | כה ונשאו את-יריעת המשכן ואת-אהל מועד מכסהו ומכסה התחש אשר-עליו מלמעלה ואת-מסך פתח אהל מועד | ||
