Instruction for Apportioning Canaan | ||||
| 1 IAUA spoke to Moses, saying: | E UIDBR IAUA EL-MShA LEMR | א וידבר יהוה אל-משה לאמר | ||
| 2 'Command the children of Israel, and say to them: When you come into the land of Canaan, this shall be the land that shall fall to you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan according to the borders thereof. | B TsU ETh-BNI IShREL UEMRTh ELAM KI-EThM BEIM EL-AERTs KNON ZETh AERTs EShR ThFL LKM BNChLA ERTs KNON LGBLThIA | ב צו את-בני ישראל ואמרת אלהם כי-אתם באים אל-הארץ כנען זאת הארץ אשר תפל לכם בנחלה ארץ כנען לגבלתיה | ||
| 3 Thus your south side shall be from the wilderness of Zin close by the side of Edom, and your south border shall begin at the end of the Salt Sea eastward; | G UAIA LKM FETh-NGB MMDBR-TsN OL-IDI EDUM UAIA LKM GBUL NGB MQTsA IM-AMLCh QDMA | ג והיה לכם פאת-נגב ממדבר-צן על-ידי אדום והיה לכם גבול נגב מקצה ים-המלח קדמה | ||
| 4 and your border shall turn about southward of the ascent of Akrabbim, and pass along to Zin; and the goings out thereof shall be southward of Kadesh-barnea; and it shall go forth to Hazar-addar, and pass along to Azmon; | D UNSB LKM AGBUL MNGB LMOLA OQRBIM UOBR TsNA UAIA (UAIU) ThUTsEThIU MNGB LQDSh BRNO UITsE ChTsR-EDR UOBR OTsMNA | ד ונסב לכם הגבול מנגב למעלה עקרבים ועבר צנה והיה (והיו) תוצאתיו מנגב לקדש ברנע ויצא חצר-אדר ועבר עצמנה | ||
| 5 and the border shall turn about from Azmon to the Brook of Egypt, and the goings out thereof shall be at the Sea. | A UNSB AGBUL MOTsMUN NChLA MTsRIM UAIU ThUTsEThIU AIMA | ה ונסב הגבול מעצמון נחלה מצרים והיו תוצאתיו הימה | ||
| 6 For the western border, you shall have the Great Sea for a border; this shall be your west border. | U UGBUL IM UAIA LKM AIM AGDUL UGBUL ZA-IAIA LKM GBUL IM | ו וגבול ים והיה לכם הים הגדול וגבול זה-יהיה לכם גבול ים | ||
| 7 This shall be your north border: from the Great Sea you shall mark out your line to mount Hor; | Z UZA-IAIA LKM GBUL TsFUN MN-AIM AGDL ThThEU LKM AR AAR | ז וזה-יהיה לכם גבול צפון מן-הים הגדל תתאו לכם הר ההר | ||
| 8 from mount Hor you shall mark out a line to the entrance to Hamath; and the goings out of the border shall be at Zedad; | Ch MAR AAR ThThEU LBE ChMTh UAIU ThUTsETh AGBL TsDDA | ח מהר ההר תתאו לבא חמת והיו תוצאת הגבל צדדה | ||
| 9 and the border shall go forth to Ziphron, and the goings out thereof shall be at Hazar-enan; this shall be your north border. | T UITsE AGBL ZFRNA UAIU ThUTsEThIU ChTsR OINN ZA-IAIA LKM GBUL TsFUN | ט ויצא הגבל זפרנה והיו תוצאתיו חצר עינן זה-יהיה לכם גבול צפון | ||
| 10 You shall mark out your line for the east border from Hazar-enan to Shepham; | I UAThEUIThM LKM LGBUL QDMA MChTsR OINN ShFMA | י והתאויתם לכם לגבול קדמה מחצר עינן שפמה | ||
| 11 and the border shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain; and the border shall go down, and shall strike on the slope of the sea of Chinnereth eastward; | IE UIRD AGBL MShFM ARBLA MQDM LOIN UIRD AGBL UMChA OL-KThF IM-KNRTh QDMA | יא וירד הגבל משפם הרבלה מקדם לעין וירד הגבל ומחה על-כתף ים-כנרת קדמה | ||

| 13 Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying: 'This is the land wherein you shall receive inheritance by lot, which IAUA has commanded to give to the nine tribes, and to the half-tribe; | IG UITsU MShA ETh-BNI IShREL LEMR ZETh AERTs EShR ThThNChLU EThA BGURL EShR TsUA IAUA LThTh LThShOTh AMTUTh UChTsI AMTA | יג ויצו משה את-בני ישראל לאמר זאת הארץ אשר תתנחלו אתה בגורל אשר צוה יהוה לתת לתשעת המטות וחצי המטה | ||

| 17 'These are the names of the men that shall take possession of the land for you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun. | IZ ELA ShMUTh AENShIM EShR-INChLU LKM ETh-AERTs ELOZR AKAN UIAUShO BN-NUN | יז אלה שמות האנשים אשר-ינחלו לכם את-הארץ אלעזר הכהן ויהושע בן-נון | ||
| 18 You shall take one prince of every tribe, to take possession of the land. | ICh UNShIE EChD NShIE EChD MMTA ThQChU LNChL ETh-AERTs | יח ונשיא אחד נשיא אחד ממטה תקחו לנחל את-הארץ | ||
| 19 These are the names of the men: of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh. | IT UELA ShMUTh AENShIM LMTA IAUDA KLB BN-IFNA | יט ואלה שמות האנשים למטה יהודה כלב בן-יפנה | ||
| 20 Of the tribe of the children of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud. | K ULMTA BNI ShMOUN ShMUEL BN-OMIAUD | כ ולמטה בני שמעון שמואל בן-עמיהוד | ||
| 21 Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon. | KE LMTA BNIMN ELIDD BN-KSLUN | כא למטה בנימן אלידד בן-כסלון | ||
| 22 Of the tribe of the children of Dan a prince, Bukki the son of Jogli. | KB ULMTA BNI-DN NShIE BQI BN-IGLI | כב ולמטה בני-דן נשיא בקי בן-יגלי | ||
| 23 Of the children of Joseph: of the tribe of the children of Manasseh a prince, Hanniel the son of Ephod; | KG LBNI IUSF LMTA BNI-MNShA NShIE ChNIEL BN-EFD | כג לבני יוסף למטה בני-מנשה נשיא חניאל בן-אפד | ||
