The Prophecy from Peor
1 When Balaam saw that it pleased IAUA to bless Israel, he went not, as at the other times, to meet with enchantments, but he set his face toward the wilderness. 6 As valleys stretched out, as gardens by the river-side; as aloes planted of IAUA, as cedars beside the waters; U KNChLIM NTIU KGNTh OLI NAR KEALIM NTO IAUA KERZIM OLI-MIM ו כנחלים נטיו כגנת עלי נהר כאהלים נטע יהוה כארזים עלי-מים

8 God who brought him forth out of Egypt is for him like the lofty horns of the wild-ox; he shall eat up the nations that are his adversaries, and shall break their bones in pieces, and pierce them through with his arrows. 10 Balak's anger was kindled against Balaam, and he smote his hands together; and Balak said to Balaam: 'I called you to curse mine enemies, and, behold, you have altogether blessed them these three times. 12 Balaam said to Balak: 'Spoke I not also to your messengers that you didst send to me, saying: IB UIEMR BLOM EL-BLQ ALE GM EL-MLEKIK EShR-ShLChTh ELI DBRThI LEMR יב ויאמר בלעם אל-בלק הלא גם אל-מלאכיך אשר-שלחת אלי דברתי לאמר
13 If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the word of IAUA, to do either good or bad of mine own mind; what IAUA speaks, that will I speak? 16 The saying of him who hears the words of God, and knows the knowledge of the Most High, who sees the vision of the Almighty, fallen down, yet with opened eyes: TZ NEM ShMO EMRI-EL UIDO DOTh OLIUN MChZA ShDI IChZA NFL UGLUI OINIM טז נאם שמע אמרי-אל וידע דעת עליון מחזה שדי יחזה נפל וגלוי עינים
17 I see him, but not now; I behold him, but not nigh; there shall step forth a star out of Jacob, and a scepter shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite through the corners of Moab, and break down all the sons of Seth. 21 He looked on the Kenite, and took up his parable, and said: Though firm be your dwelling-place, and though your nest be set in the rock; KE UIRE ETh-AQINI UIShE MShLU UIEMR EIThN MUShBK UShIM BSLO QNK כא וירא את-הקיני וישא משלו ויאמר איתן מושבך ושים בסלע קנך
