2 Hear, O you mountains, IAUA's controversy, and you enduring rocks, the foundations of the earth; for IAUA has a controversy with His people, and He will plead with Israel. 5 O My people, remember now what Balak king of Moab devised, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him; from Shittim to Gilgal, that you may know the righteous acts of IAUA. 7 Will IAUA be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousands of rivers of oil? Shall I give my first-born for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?' 8 It has been told you, O man, what is good, and what IAUA does require of you: only to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God. 10 Are there yet the treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and the scant measure that is abominable? I OUD AESh BITh RShO ETsRUTh RShO UEIFTh RZUN ZOUMA י עוד האש בית רשע אצרות רשע ואיפת רזון זעומה
11 'Shall I be pure with wicked balances, and with a bag of deceitful weights?' IE AEZKA BMEZNI RShO UBKIS EBNI MRMA יא האזכה במאזני רשע ובכיס אבני מרמה
12 For the rich men thereof are full of violence, and the inhabitants thereof have spoken lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth. IB EShR OShIRIA MLEU ChMS UIShBIA DBRU-ShQR ULShUNM RMIA BFIAM יב אשר עשיריה מלאו חמס וישביה דברו-שקר ולשונם רמיה בפיהם
13 Therefore I also do smite you with a grievous wound; I do make you desolate because of your sins. IG UGM-ENI AChLIThI AKUThK AShMM OL-ChTEThK יג וגם-אני החליתי הכותך השמם על-חטאתך
14 You shall eat, but not be satisfied; and your sickness shall be in your inward parts; and you shall conceive, but shall not bring forth; and whomsoever you bring forth will I give up to the sword. ID EThA ThEKL ULE ThShBO UIShChK BQRBK UThSG ULE ThFLIT UEShR ThFLT LChRB EThN יד אתה תאכל ולא תשבע וישחך בקרבך ותסג ולא תפליט ואשר תפלט לחרב אתן
15 You shall sow, but shall not reap; you shall tread the olives, but shall not anoint you with oil; and the vintage, but shall not drink wine. TU EThA ThZRO ULE ThQTsUR EThA ThDRK-ZITh ULE-ThSUK ShMN UThIRUSh ULE ThShThA-IIN טו אתה תזרע ולא תקצור אתה תדרך-זית ולא-תסוך שמן ותירוש ולא תשתה-יין
16 For the statutes of Omri are kept, and all the works of the house of Ahab, and you walk in their counsels; that I may make you an astonishment, and the inhabitants thereof a hissing; and you shall bear the reproach of My people.
