| 12 I sent the hornet before you, which drove them out from before you, even the two kings of the Amorites; not with your sword, nor with your bow. | IB UEShLCh LFNIKM ETh-ATsROA UThGRSh EUThM MFNIKM ShNI MLKI AEMRI LE BChRBK ULE BQShThK | יב ואשלח לפניכם את-הצרעה ותגרש אותם מפניכם שני מלכי האמרי לא בחרבך ולא בקשתך | ||

| 14 Now therefore fear IAUA, and serve Him in sincerity and in truth; and put away the gods which your fathers served beyond the River, and in Egypt; and serve you IAUA. | ID UOThA IREU ETh-IAUA UOBDU EThU BThMIM UBEMTh UASIRU ETh-ELAIM EShR OBDU EBUThIKM BOBR ANAR UBMTsRIM UOBDU ETh-IAUA | יד ועתה יראו את-יהוה ועבדו אתו בתמים ובאמת והסירו את-אלהים אשר עבדו אבותיכם בעבר הנהר ובמצרים ועבדו את-יהוה | ||

| 16 The people answered and said: 'Far be it from us that we should forsake IAUA, to serve other gods; | TZ UION AOM UIEMR ChLILA LNU MOZB ETh-IAUA LOBD ELAIM EChRIM | טז ויען העם ויאמר חלילה לנו מעזב את-יהוה לעבד אלהים אחרים | ||
| 17 for IAUA our God, He it is that brought us and our fathers up out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, and that did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way wherein we went, and among all the peoples through the middle of whom we passed; | IZ KI IAUA ELAINU AUE AMOLA EThNU UETh-EBUThINU MERTs MTsRIM MBITh OBDIM UEShR OShA LOININU ETh-AEThUTh AGDLUTh AELA UIShMRNU BKL-ADRK EShR ALKNU BA UBKL AOMIM EShR OBRNU BQRBM | יז כי יהוה אלהינו הוא המעלה אתנו ואת-אבותינו מארץ מצרים מבית עבדים ואשר עשה לעינינו את-האתות הגדלות האלה וישמרנו בכל-הדרך אשר הלכנו בה ובכל העמים אשר עברנו בקרבם | ||
| 18 and IAUA drove out from before us all the peoples, even the Amorites that dwelt in the land; therefore we also will serve IAUA; for He is our God.' | ICh UIGRSh IAUA ETh-KL-AOMIM UETh-AEMRI IShB AERTs MFNINU GM-ENChNU NOBD ETh-IAUA KI-AUE ELAINU | יח ויגרש יהוה את-כל-העמים ואת-האמרי ישב הארץ מפנינו גם-אנחנו נעבד את-יהוה כי-הוא אלהינו | ||
| 19 Joshua said to the people: 'You cannot serve IAUA; for He is a holy God; He is a jealous God; He will not forgive your transgression nor your sins. | IT UIEMR IAUShO EL-AOM LE ThUKLU LOBD ETh-IAUA KI-ELAIM QDShIM AUE EL-QNUE AUE LE-IShE LFShOKM ULChTEUThIKM | יט ויאמר יהושע אל-העם לא תוכלו לעבד את-יהוה כי-אלהים קדשים הוא אל-קנוא הוא לא-ישא לפשעכם ולחטאותיכם | ||
| 20 If you forsake IAUA, and serve strange gods, then He will turn and do you evil, and consume you, after that He has done you good.' | K KI ThOZBU ETh-IAUA UOBDThM ELAI NKR UShB UARO LKM UKLA EThKM EChRI EShR-AITIB LKM | כ כי תעזבו את-יהוה ועבדתם אלהי נכר ושב והרע לכם וכלה אתכם אחרי אשר-היטיב לכם | ||
| 21 The people said to Joshua: 'Nay; but we will serve IAUA.' | KE UIEMR AOM EL-IAUShO LE KI ETh-IAUA NOBD | כא ויאמר העם אל-יהושע לא כי את-יהוה נעבד | ||
| 22 Joshua said to the people: 'You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen you IAUA, to serve Him.--They said: 'We are witnesses.'-- | KB UIEMR IAUShO EL-AOM ODIM EThM BKM KI-EThM BChRThM LKM ETh-IAUA LOBD EUThU UIEMRU ODIM | כב ויאמר יהושע אל-העם עדים אתם בכם כי-אתם בחרתם לכם את-יהוה לעבד אותו ויאמרו עדים | ||
| 23 Now therefore put away the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart to IAUA, the God of Israel.' | KG UOThA ASIRU ETh-ELAI ANKR EShR BQRBKM UATU ETh-LBBKM EL-IAUA ELAI IShREL | כג ועתה הסירו את-אלהי הנכר אשר בקרבכם והטו את-לבבכם אל-יהוה אלהי ישראל | ||
| 24 The people said to Joshua: 'IAUA our God will we serve, and to His voice will we hearken.' | KD UIEMRU AOM EL-IAUShO ETh-IAUA ELAINU NOBD UBQULU NShMO | כד ויאמרו העם אל-יהושע את-יהוה אלהינו נעבד ובקולו נשמע | ||
| 25 So Joshua made a covenant with the people that day, and set them a statute and an ordinance in Shechem. | KA UIKRTh IAUShO BRITh LOM BIUM AAUE UIShM LU ChQ UMShFT BShKM | כה ויכרת יהושע ברית לעם ביום ההוא וישם לו חק ומשפט בשכם | ||
| 26 Joshua wrote these words in the book of the law of God; and he took a great stone, and set it up there under the oak that was by the sanctuary of IAUA. | KU UIKThB IAUShO ETh-ADBRIM AELA BSFR ThURTh ELAIM UIQCh EBN GDULA UIQIMA ShM ThChTh AELA EShR BMQDSh IAUA | כו ויכתב יהושע את-הדברים האלה בספר תורת אלהים ויקח אבן גדולה ויקימה שם תחת האלה אשר במקדש יהוה | ||
