O that I were as in the months of old, as in the days when God watched over me;   B MI-IThNNI KIRChI-QDM KIMI ELUA IShMRNI
When His lamp shined above my head, and by His light I walked through darkness;   G BALU NRU OLI REShI LEURU ELK ChShK

The young men saw me and hid themselves, and the aged rose up and stood;   Ch REUNI NORIM UNChBEU UIShIShIM QMU OMDU
The princes refrained talking, and laid their hand on their mouth;   T ShRIM OTsRU BMLIM UKF IShIMU LFIAM
The voice of the nobles was hushed, and their tongue cleaved to the roof of their mouth.   I QUL-NGIDIM NChBEU ULShUNM LChKM DBQA
For when the ear heard me, then it blessed me, and when the eye saw me, it gave witness to me;   IE KI EZN ShMOA UThEShRNI UOIN REThA UThOIDNI
Because I delivered the poor that cried, the fatherless also, that had none to help him.   IB KI-EMLT ONI MShUO UIThUM ULE-OZR LU
The blessing of him that was ready to perish came on me; and I caused the widow's heart to sing for joy.   IG BRKTh EBD OLI ThBE ULB ELMNA ERNN
I put on righteousness, and it clothed itself with me; my justice was as a robe and a diadem.   ID TsDQ LBShThI UILBShNI KMOIL UTsNIF MShFTI
I was eyes to the blind, and feet was I to the lame.   TU OINIM AIIThI LOUR URGLIM LFSCh ENI
I was a father to the needy; and the cause of him that I knew not I searched out.   TZ EB ENKI LEBIUNIM URB LE-IDOThI EChQRAU
I broke the jaws of the unrighteous, and plucked the prey out of his teeth.   IZ UEShBRA MThLOUTh OUL UMShNIU EShLIK TRF
Then I said: 'I shall die with my nest, and I shall increase my days as the phoenix;   ICh UEMR OM-QNI EGUO UKChUL ERBA IMIM
My root shall be spread out to the waters, and the dew shall lie all night on my branch;   IT ShRShI FThUCh ELI-MIM UTL ILIN BQTsIRI
My glory shall be fresh in me, and my bow shall be renewed in my hand.'   K KBUDI ChDSh OMDI UQShThI BIDI ThChLIF
To me men gave ear, and waited, and kept silence for my counsel.   KE LI-ShMOU UIChLU UIDMU LMU OTsThI
After my words they spoke not again; and my speech dropped on them.   KB EChRI DBRI LE IShNU UOLIMU ThTF MLThI
They waited for me as for the rain; and they opened their mouth wide as for the latter rain.   KG UIChLU KMTR LI UFIAM FORU LMLQUSh
If I laughed on them, they believed it not; and the light of my countenance they cast not down.   KD EShChQ ELAM LE IEMINU UEUR FNI LE IFILUN
