| 2 Should not the multitude of words be answered? Should a man full of talk be accounted right? | B ARB DBRIM LE IONA UEM-EISh ShFThIM ITsDQ | ב הרב דברים לא יענה ואם-איש שפתים יצדק | ||
| 3 Your boastings have made men hold their peace, and you have mocked, with none to make you ashamed; | G BDIK MThIM IChRIShU UThLOG UEIN MKLM | ג בדיך מתים יחרישו ותלעג ואין מכלם | ||
| 4 You have said: 'My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in Your eyes.' | D UThEMR ZK LQChI UBR AIIThI BOINIK | ד ותאמר זך לקחי ובר הייתי בעיניך | ||
| 5 But oh that God would speak, and open His lips against you; | A UEULM MI IThN ELUA DBR UIFThCh ShFThIU OMK | ה ואולם מי יתן אלוה דבר ויפתח שפתיו עמך | ||
| 6 That He would tell you the secrets of wisdom, that sound wisdom is manifold! Know therefore that God exacts of you less than your iniquity deserves. | U UIGD-LK ThOLMUTh ChKMA KI-KFLIM LThUShIA UDO KI-IShA LK ELUA MOUNK | ו ויגד-לך תעלמות חכמה כי-כפלים לתושיה ודע כי-ישה לך אלוה מעונך | ||

| 8 It is high as heaven; what can you do? Deeper than the nether-world; what can you know? | Ch GBAI ShMIM MA-ThFOL OMQA MShEUL MA-ThDO | ח גבהי שמים מה-תפעל עמקה משאול מה-תדע | ||
| 9 The measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea. | T ERKA MERTs MDA URChBA MNI-IM | ט ארכה מארץ מדה ורחבה מני-ים | ||
| 10 If He pass by, and shut up, or gather in, then who can hinder Him? | I EM-IChLF UISGIR UIQAIL UMI IShIBNU | י אם-יחלף ויסגיר ויקהיל ומי ישיבנו | ||
| 11 For He knows base men; and when He sees iniquity, will He not then consider it? | IE KI-AUE IDO MThI-ShUE UIRE-EUN ULE IThBUNN | יא כי-הוא ידע מתי-שוא וירא-און ולא יתבונן | ||

| 14 If iniquity be in your hand, put it far away, and let not unrighteousness dwell in your tents-- | ID EM-EUN BIDK ARChIQAU UEL-ThShKN BEALIK OULA | יד אם-און בידך הרחיקהו ואל-תשכן באהליך עולה | ||
| 15 Surely then shall you lift up your face without spot; yes, you shall be stedfast, and shall not fear; | TU KI-EZ ThShE FNIK MMUM UAIITh MTsQ ULE ThIRE | טו כי-אז תשא פניך ממום והיית מצק ולא תירא | ||
| 16 For you shall forget your misery; you shall remember it as waters that are passed away; | TZ KI-EThA OML ThShKCh KMIM OBRU ThZKR | טז כי-אתה עמל תשכח כמים עברו תזכר | ||
| 17 Your life shall be clearer than the noonday; though there be darkness, it shall be as the morning. | IZ UMTsARIM IQUM ChLD ThOFA KBQR ThAIA | יז ומצהרים יקום חלד תעפה כבקר תהיה | ||
| 18 You shall be secure, because there is hope; yes, you shall look about you, and shall take your rest in safety. | ICh UBTChTh KI-ISh ThQUA UChFRTh LBTCh ThShKB | יח ובטחת כי-יש תקוה וחפרת לבטח תשכב | ||
| 19 Also you shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid; yes, many shall make suit to you. | IT URBTsTh UEIN MChRID UChLU FNIK RBIM | יט ורבצת ואין מחריד וחלו פניך רבים | ||
| 20 But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall have no way to flee, and their hope shall be the drooping of the soul. | K UOINI RShOIM ThKLINA UMNUS EBD MNAM UThQUThM MFCh-NFSh | כ ועיני רשעים תכלינה ומנוס אבד מנהם ותקותם מפח-נפש | ||
