Message to the Exiles | ||||

| 2 after that Jeconiah the king, and the queen-mother, and the officers, and the princes of Judah and Jerusalem, and the craftsmen, and the smiths, were departed from Jerusalem; | B EChRI TsETh IKNIA-AMLK UAGBIRA UASRISIM ShRI IAUDA UIRUShLM UAChRSh UAMSGR MIRUShLM | ב אחרי צאת יכניה-המלך והגבירה והסריסים שרי יהודה וירושלם והחרש והמסגר מירושלם | ||

| 4 Thus says IAUA of hosts, the God of Israel, to all the captivity, whom I have caused to be carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon: | D KA EMR IAUA TsBEUTh ELAI IShREL LKL-AGULA EShR-AGLIThI MIRUShLM BBLA | ד כה אמר יהוה צבאות אלהי ישראל לכל-הגולה אשר-הגליתי מירושלם בבלה | ||
| 5 Build you houses, and dwell in them, and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them; | A BNU BThIM UShBU UNTOU GNUTh UEKLU ETh-FRIN | ה בנו בתים ושבו ונטעו גנות ואכלו את-פרין | ||
| 6 take you wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; and increase you there, and be not diminished. | U QChU NShIM UAULIDU BNIM UBNUTh UQChU LBNIKM NShIM UETh-BNUThIKM ThNU LENShIM UThLDNA BNIM UBNUTh URBU-ShM UEL-ThMOTU | ו קחו נשים והולידו בנים ובנות וקחו לבניכם נשים ואת-בנותיכם תנו לאנשים ותלדנה בנים ובנות ורבו-שם ואל-תמעטו | ||
| 7 Seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to IAUA for it; for in the peace thereof shall you have peace. | Z UDRShU ETh-ShLUM AOIR EShR AGLIThI EThKM ShMA UAThFLLU BODA EL-IAUA KI BShLUMA IAIA LKM ShLUM | ז ודרשו את-שלום העיר אשר הגליתי אתכם שמה והתפללו בעדה אל-יהוה כי בשלומה יהיה לכם שלום | ||
| 8 For thus says IAUA of hosts, the God of Israel: Let not your prophets that are in the middle of you, and your diviners, beguile you, neither hearken you to your dreams which you cause to be dreamed. | Ch KI KA EMR IAUA TsBEUTh ELAI IShREL EL-IShIEU LKM NBIEIKM EShR-BQRBKM UQSMIKM UEL-ThShMOU EL-ChLMThIKM EShR EThM MChLMIM | ח כי כה אמר יהוה צבאות אלהי ישראל אל-ישיאו לכם נביאיכם אשר-בקרבכם וקסמיכם ואל-תשמעו אל-חלמתיכם אשר אתם מחלמים | ||
| 9 For they prophesy falsely to you in My name; I have not sent them, says IAUA. | T KI BShQR AM NBEIM LKM BShMI LE ShLChThIM NEM-IAUA | ט כי בשקר הם נבאים לכם בשמי לא שלחתים נאם-יהוה | ||
| 10 IAUA says, After seventy years are finished at Babylon, I will come to you. I will do what I promised to you, by causing you to return to this place. | I KI-KA EMR IAUA KI LFI MLETh LBBL ShBOIM ShNA EFQD EThKM UAQMThI OLIKM ETh-DBRI ATUB LAShIB EThKM EL-AMQUM AZA | י כי-כה אמר יהוה כי לפי מלאת לבבל שבעים שנה אפקד אתכם והקמתי עליכם את-דברי הטוב להשיב אתכם אל-המקום הזה | ||
| 11 Because I know the plans that I jave for you, says IAUA, plans for peace, not evil, to give you what you expect. | IE KI ENKI IDOThI ETh-AMChShBTh EShR ENKI ChShB OLIKM NEM-IAUA MChShBUTh ShLUM ULE LROA LThTh LKM EChRITh UThQUA | יא כי אנכי ידעתי את-המחשבת אשר אנכי חשב עליכם נאם-יהוה מחשבות שלום ולא לרעה לתת לכם אחרית ותקוה | ||
| 12 You will call on Me. You will go and pray to Me. I will listen to you. | IB UQREThM EThI UALKThM UAThFLLThM ELI UShMOThI ELIKM | יב וקראתם אתי והלכתם והתפללתם אלי ושמעתי אליכם | ||
| 13 You will seek Me, and find Me, when you will search for Me with all your heart. | IG UBQShThM EThI UMTsEThM KI ThDRShNI BKL-LBBKM | יג ובקשתם אתי ומצאתם כי תדרשני בכל-לבבכם | ||
| 14 I will be found by you, says IAUA. I will end your captivity. I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places where I have sent you, says IAUA. I will bring you back to the place from where I sent you away as captives. | ID UNMTsEThI LKM NEM-IAUA UShBThI ETh-ShBIThKM (ShBUThKM) UQBTsThI EThKM MKL-AGUIM UMKL-AMQUMUTh EShR ADChThI EThKM ShM NEM-IAUA UAShBThI EThKM EL-AMQUM EShR-AGLIThI EThKM MShM | יד ונמצאתי לכם נאם-יהוה ושבתי את-שביתכם (שבותכם) וקבצתי אתכם מכל-הגוים ומכל-המקומות אשר הדחתי אתכם שם נאם-יהוה והשבתי אתכם אל-המקום אשר-הגליתי אתכם משם | ||
| 15 For you have said: 'IAUA has raised us up prophets in Babylon.' | TU KI EMRThM AQIM LNU IAUA NBEIM BBLA | טו כי אמרתם הקים לנו יהוה נבאים בבלה | ||
| 16 For thus says IAUA concerning the king that sits on the throne of David, and concerning all the people that dwell in this city, your brethren that are not gone forth with you into captivity; | TZ KI-KA EMR IAUA EL-AMLK AIUShB EL-KSE DUD UEL-KL-AOM AIUShB BOIR AZETh EChIKM EShR LE-ITsEU EThKM BGULA | טז כי-כה אמר יהוה אל-המלך היושב אל-כסא דוד ואל-כל-העם היושב בעיר הזאת אחיכם אשר לא-יצאו אתכם בגולה | ||
| 17 thus says IAUA of hosts: Behold, I will send on them the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figs, that cannot be eaten, they are so bad. | IZ KA EMR IAUA TsBEUTh ANNI MShLCh BM ETh-AChRB ETh-AROB UETh-ADBR UNThThI EUThM KThENIM AShORIM EShR LE-ThEKLNA MRO | יז כה אמר יהוה צבאות הנני משלח בם את-החרב את-הרעב ואת-הדבר ונתתי אותם כתאנים השערים אשר לא-תאכלנה מרע | ||
| 18 I will pursue after them with the sword, with the famine, and with the pestilence, and will make them a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth, a curse, and an astonishment, and a hissing, and a reproach, among all the nations whither I have driven them; | ICh URDFThI EChRIAM BChRB BROB UBDBR UNThThIM LZUOA (LZOUA) LKL MMLKUTh AERTs LELA ULShMA ULShRQA ULChRFA BKL-AGUIM EShR-ADChThIM ShM | יח ורדפתי אחריהם בחרב ברעב ובדבר ונתתים לזועה (לזעוה) לכל ממלכות הארץ לאלה ולשמה ולשרקה ולחרפה בכל-הגוים אשר-הדחתים שם | ||
| 19 because they have not hearkened to My words, says IAUA, wherewith I sent to them My servants the prophets, sending them betimes and often; but you would not hear, says IAUA. | IT ThChTh EShR-LE-ShMOU EL-DBRI NEM-IAUA EShR ShLChThI ELIAM ETh-OBDI ANBEIM AShKM UShLCh ULE ShMOThM NEM-IAUA | יט תחת אשר-לא-שמעו אל-דברי נאם-יהוה אשר שלחתי אליהם את-עבדי הנבאים השכם ושלח ולא שמעתם נאם-יהוה | ||
| 20 Hear you therefore the word of IAUA, all you of the captivity, whom I have sent away from Jerusalem to Babylon: | K UEThM ShMOU DBR-IAUA KL-AGULA EShR-ShLChThI MIRUShLM BBLA | כ ואתם שמעו דבר-יהוה כל-הגולה אשר-שלחתי מירושלם בבלה | ||
| 21 Thus says IAUA of hosts, the God of Israel, concerning Ahab the son of Kolaiah, and concerning Zedekiah the son of Maaseiah, who prophesy a lie to you in My name: Behold, I will deliver them into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall slay them before your eyes; | KE KA-EMR IAUA TsBEUTh ELAI IShREL EL-EChEB BN-QULIA UEL-TsDQIAU BN-MOShIA ANBEIM LKM BShMI ShQR ANNI NThN EThM BID NBUKDRETsR MLK-BBL UAKM LOINIKM | כא כה-אמר יהוה צבאות אלהי ישראל אל-אחאב בן-קוליה ואל-צדקיהו בן-מעשיה הנבאים לכם בשמי שקר הנני נתן אתם ביד נבוכדראצר מלך-בבל והכם לעיניכם | ||
| 22 and of them shall be taken up a curse by all the captivity of Judah that are in Babylon, saying: 'IAUA make you like Zedekiah and like Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire'; | KB ULQCh MAM QLLA LKL GLUTh IAUDA EShR BBBL LEMR IShMK IAUA KTsDQIAU UKEChB EShR-QLM MLK-BBL BESh | כב ולקח מהם קללה לכל גלות יהודה אשר בבבל לאמר ישמך יהוה כצדקיהו וכאחב אשר-קלם מלך-בבל באש | ||
| 23 because they have wrought vile deeds in Israel, and have committed adultery with their neighbors' wives, and have spoken words in My name falsely, which I commanded them not; but I am He that knows, and am witness, says IAUA. | KG ION EShR OShU NBLA BIShREL UINEFU ETh-NShI ROIAM UIDBRU DBR BShMI ShQR EShR LUE TsUIThM UENKI AUIDO (AIUDO) UOD NEM-IAUA | כג יען אשר עשו נבלה בישראל וינאפו את-נשי רעיהם וידברו דבר בשמי שקר אשר לוא צויתם ואנכי הוידע (היודע) ועד נאם-יהוה | ||
| 24 Concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite you shall speak, saying: | KD UEL-ShMOIAU ANChLMI ThEMR LEMR | כד ואל-שמעיהו הנחלמי תאמר לאמר | ||
| 25 Thus speaks IAUA of hosts, the God of Israel, saying: Because you have sent letters in your own name to all the people that are at Jerusalem, and to Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, and to all the priests, saying: | KA KA-EMR IAUA TsBEUTh ELAI IShREL LEMR ION EShR EThA ShLChTh BShMKA SFRIM EL-KL-AOM EShR BIRUShLM UEL-TsFNIA BN-MOShIA AKAN UEL KL-AKANIM LEMR | כה כה-אמר יהוה צבאות אלהי ישראל לאמר יען אשר אתה שלחת בשמכה ספרים אל-כל-העם אשר בירושלם ואל-צפניה בן-מעשיה הכהן ואל כל-הכהנים לאמר | ||
| 26 'IAUA has made you priest in the stead of Jehoiada the priest, that there should be officers in the house of IAUA for every man that is mad, and makes himself a prophet, that you should put him in the stocks and in the collar. | KU IAUA NThNK KAN ThChTh IAUIDO AKAN LAIUTh FQDIM BITh IAUA LKL-EISh MShGO UMThNBE UNThThA EThU EL-AMAFKTh UEL-ATsINQ | כו יהוה נתנך כהן תחת יהוידע הכהן להיות פקדים בית יהוה לכל-איש משגע ומתנבא ונתתה אתו אל-המהפכת ואל-הצינק | ||
| 27 Now therefore, why have you not rebuked Jeremiah of Anathoth, who makes himself a prophet to you, | KZ UOThA LMA LE GORTh BIRMIAU AONThThI AMThNBE LKM | כז ועתה למה לא גערת בירמיהו הענתתי המתנבא לכם | ||
| 28 forasmuch as he has sent to us in Babylon, saying: The captivity is long; build you houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them?' | KCh KI OL-KN ShLCh ELINU BBL LEMR ERKA AIE BNU BThIM UShBU UNTOU GNUTh UEKLU ETh-FRIAN | כח כי על-כן שלח אלינו בבל לאמר ארכה היא בנו בתים ושבו ונטעו גנות ואכלו את-פריהן | ||
| 29 Zephaniah the priest read this letter in the ears of Jeremiah the prophet. | KT UIQRE TsFNIA AKAN ETh-ASFR AZA BEZNI IRMIAU ANBIE | כט ויקרא צפניה הכהן את-הספר הזה באזני ירמיהו הנביא | ||
| 30 Then came the word of IAUA to Jeremiah, saying: | L UIAI DBR-IAUA EL-IRMIAU LEMR | ל ויהי דבר-יהוה אל-ירמיהו לאמר | ||
| 31 Send to all them of the captivity, saying: Thus says IAUA concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite: Because that Shemaiah has prophesied to you, and I sent him not, and he has caused you to trust in a lie; | LE ShLCh OL-KL-AGULA LEMR KA EMR IAUA EL-ShMOIA ANChLMI ION EShR NBE LKM ShMOIA UENI LE ShLChThIU UIBTCh EThKM OL-ShQR | לא שלח על-כל-הגולה לאמר כה אמר יהוה אל-שמעיה הנחלמי יען אשר נבא לכם שמעיה ואני לא שלחתיו ויבטח אתכם על-שקר | ||
| 32 therefore thus says IAUA: Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite, and his seed; he shall not have a man to dwell among this people, neither shall he behold the good that I will do to My people, says IAUA; because he has spoken perversion against IAUA. | LB LKN KA-EMR IAUA ANNI FQD OL-ShMOIA ANChLMI UOL-ZROU LE-IAIA LU EISh IUShB BThUK-AOM AZA ULE-IREA BTUB EShR-ENI OShA-LOMI NEM-IAUA KI-SRA DBR OL-IAUA | לב לכן כה-אמר יהוה הנני פקד על-שמעיה הנחלמי ועל-זרעו לא-יהיה לו איש יושב בתוך-העם הזה ולא-יראה בטוב אשר-אני עשה-לעמי נאם-יהוה כי-סרה דבר על-יהוה | ||
