Hezekiah Healed
1 In those days was Hezekiah sick to death. Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him, and said to him: 'Thus says IAUA: Set your house in order; for you shall die, and not live.' 2 Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall, and prayed to IAUA, B UISB ChZQIAU FNIU EL-AQIR UIThFLL EL-IAUA ב ויסב חזקיהו פניו אל-הקיר ויתפלל אל-יהוה
3 and said: 'Remember now, O IAUA, I beseech You, how I have walked before You in truth and with a whole heart, and have done that which is good in Your sight.' Hezekiah wept sore. 4 Then came the word of IAUA to Isaiah, saying: D UIAI DBR-IAUA EL-IShOIAU LEMR ד ויהי דבר-יהוה אל-ישעיהו לאמר
5 'Go, and say to Hezekiah: Thus says IAUA, the God of David your father: I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I will add to your days fifteen years. A ALUK UEMRTh EL-ChZQIAU KA-EMR IAUA ELAI DUD EBIK ShMOThI ETh-ThFLThK REIThI ETh-DMOThK ANNI IUSF OL-IMIK ChMSh OShRA ShNA ה הלוך ואמרת אל-חזקיהו כה-אמר יהוה אלהי דוד אביך שמעתי את-תפלתך ראיתי את-דמעתך הנני יוסף על-ימיך חמש עשרה שנה

7 This shall be the sign to you from IAUA, that IAUA will do this thing that He has spoken: Z UZA-LK AEUTh METh IAUA EShR IOShA IAUA ETh-ADBR AZA EShR DBR ז וזה-לך האות מאת יהוה אשר יעשה יהוה את-הדבר הזה אשר דבר
8 behold, I will cause the shadow of the dial, which is gone down on the sun-dial of Ahaz, to return backward ten degrees.' So the sun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down. 10 I said: In the noontide of my days I shall go, even to the gates of the nether-world; I am deprived of the residue of my years. I ENI EMRThI BDMI IMI ELKA BShORI ShEUL FQDThI IThR ShNUThI י אני אמרתי בדמי ימי אלכה בשערי שאול פקדתי יתר שנותי
11 I said: I shall not see IA, even IA in the land of the living; I shall behold man no more with the inhabitants of the world. IE EMRThI LE-EREA IA IA BERTs AChIIM LE-EBIT EDM OUD OM-IUShBI ChDL יא אמרתי לא-אראה יה יה בארץ החיים לא-אביט אדם עוד עם-יושבי חדל
12 My habitation is plucked up and carried away from me as a shepherd's tent; I have rolled up like a weaver my life; He will cut me off from the thrum; from day even to night will You make an end of me. 13 The more I make myself like to a lion until morning, the more it breaks all my bones; from day even to night will You make an end of me. IG ShUIThI OD-BQR KERI KN IShBR KL-OTsMUThI MIUM OD-LILA ThShLIMNI יג שויתי עד-בקר כארי כן ישבר כל-עצמותי מיום עד-לילה תשלימני
14 Like a swallow or a crane, so do I chatter, I do moan as a dove; mine eyes fail with looking upward. My Lord, I am oppressed, be You my surety. ID KSUS OGUR KN ETsFTsF EAGA KIUNA DLU OINI LMRUM EDNI OShQA-LI ORBNI יד כסוס עגור כן אצפצף אהגה כיונה דלו עיני למרום אדני עשקה-לי ערבני
15 What shall I say? He has both spoken to me, and Himself has done it; I shall go softly all my years for the bitterness of my soul. TU MA-EDBR UEMR-LI UAUE OShA EDDA KL-ShNUThI OL-MR NFShI טו מה-אדבר ואמר-לי והוא עשה אדדה כל-שנותי על-מר נפשי
16 O Lord, by these things men live, and altogether therein is the life of my spirit; wherefore recover You me, and make me to live. TZ EDNI OLIAM IChIU ULKL-BAN ChII RUChI UThChLIMNI UAChINI טז אדני עליהם יחיו ולכל-בהן חיי רוחי ותחלימני והחיני
17 Behold, for my peace I had great bitterness; but You have in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption; for You have cast all my sins behind Your back. 19 The living, the living, he shall praise You, as I do this day; the father to the children shall make known Your truth. IT ChI ChI AUE IUDK KMUNI AIUM EB LBNIM IUDIO EL-EMThK יט חי חי הוא יודך כמוני היום אב לבנים יודיע אל-אמתך
20 IAUA is ready to save me; therefore we will sing songs to the stringed instruments all the days of our life in the house of IAUA. K IAUA LAUShIONI UNGNUThI NNGN KL-IMI ChIINU OL-BITh IAUA כ יהוה להושיעני ונגנותי ננגן כל-ימי חיינו על-בית יהוה
21 Isaiah said: 'Let them take a cake of figs, and lay it for a plaster on the boil, and he shall recover.' KE UIEMR IShOIAU IShEU DBLTh ThENIM UIMRChU OL-AShChIN UIChI כא ויאמר ישעיהו ישאו דבלת תאנים וימרחו על-השחין ויחי
22 Hezekiah said. 'What is the sign that I shall go up to the house of IAUA?' KB UIEMR ChZQIAU MA EUTh KI EOLA BITh IAUA כב ויאמר חזקיהו מה אות כי אעלה בית יהוה
