1 Now this is the commandment, the statutes, and the ordinances, which IAUA your God commanded to teach you, that you might do them in the land whither you go over to possess it-- E UZETh AMTsUA AChQIM UAMShFTIM EShR TsUA IAUA ELAIKM LLMD EThKM LOShUTh BERTs EShR EThM OBRIM ShMA LRShThA א וזאת המצוה החקים והמשפטים אשר צוה יהוה אלהיכם ללמד אתכם לעשות בארץ אשר אתם עברים שמה לרשתה
2 that you might fear IAUA your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments, which I command you, you, and your son, and your son's son, all the days of your life; and that your days may be prolonged. 3 Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with you, and that you may increase mightily, as IAUA, the God of your fathers, has promised to you--a land flowing with milk and honey. 4 Hear, O Israel: IAUA our God, IAUA is one. D ShMO IShREL IAUA ELAINU IAUA EChD ד שמע ישראל יהוה אלהינו יהוה אחד
5 You shall love IAUA your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. A UEABTh ETh IAUA ELAIK BKL-LBBK UBKL-NFShK UBKL-MEDK ה ואהבת את יהוה אלהיך בכל-לבבך ובכל-נפשך ובכל-מאדך
6 These words, which I command you this day, shall be on your heart; U UAIU ADBRIM AELA EShR ENKI MTsUK AIUM OL-LBBK ו והיו הדברים האלה אשר אנכי מצוך היום על-לבבך
7 and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lay down, and when you rise up. Z UShNNThM LBNIK UDBRTh BM BShBThK BBIThK UBLKThK BDRK UBShKBK UBQUMK ז ושננתם לבניך ודברת בם בשבתך בביתך ובלכתך בדרך ובשכבך ובקומך
8 You shall bind them for a sign on your hand, and they shall be for frontlets between your eyes. Ch UQShRThM LEUTh OL-IDK UAIU LTTFTh BIN OINIK ח וקשרתם לאות על-ידך והיו לטטפת בין עיניך
9 You shall write them on the door-posts of your house, and on your gates. T UKThBThM OL-MZZUTh BIThK UBShORIK ט וכתבתם על-מזזות ביתך ובשעריך
10 It shall be, when IAUA your God shall bring you into the land which He swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give you--great and goodly cities, which you didst not build, I UAIA KI IBIEK IAUA ELAIK EL-AERTs EShR NShBO LEBThIK LEBRAM LITsChQ ULIOQB LThTh LK ORIM GDLTh UTBTh EShR LE-BNITh י והיה כי יביאך יהוה אלהיך אל-הארץ אשר נשבע לאבתיך לאברהם ליצחק וליעקב לתת לך ערים גדלת וטבת אשר לא-בנית
11 and houses full of all good things, which you didst not fill, and cisterns hewn out, which you didst not cut, vineyards and olive-trees, which you didst not plant, and you shall eat and be satisfied-- IE UBThIM MLEIM KL-TUB EShR LE-MLETh UBRTh ChTsUBIM EShR LE-ChTsBTh KRMIM UZIThIM EShR LE-NTOTh UEKLTh UShBOTh יא ובתים מלאים כל-טוב אשר לא-מלאת וברת חצובים אשר לא-חצבת כרמים וזיתים אשר לא-נטעת ואכלת ושבעת
12 then beware unless you forget IAUA, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. IB AShMR LK FN-ThShKCh ETh-IAUA EShR AUTsIEK MERTs MTsRIM MBITh OBDIM יב השמר לך פן-תשכח את-יהוה אשר הוציאך מארץ מצרים מבית עבדים
13 You shall fear IAUA your God; and Him shall you serve, and by His name shall you swear. IG ETh-IAUA ELAIK ThIRE UEThU ThOBD UBShMU ThShBO יג את-יהוה אלהיך תירא ואתו תעבד ובשמו תשבע
14 You shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the peoples that are round about you; ID LE ThLKUN EChRI ELAIM EChRIM MELAI AOMIM EShR SBIBUThIKM יד לא תלכון אחרי אלהים אחרים מאלהי העמים אשר סביבותיכם
15 for a jealous God, even IAUA your God, is in the middle of you; unless the anger of IAUA your God be kindled against you, and He destroy you from off the face of the earth. TU KI EL QNE IAUA ELAIK BQRBK FN-IChRA EF-IAUA ELAIK BK UAShMIDK MOL FNI AEDMA טו כי אל קנא יהוה אלהיך בקרבך פן-יחרה אף-יהוה אלהיך בך והשמידך מעל פני האדמה
16 You shall not try IAUA your God, as you tried Him in Massah. TZ LE ThNSU ETh-IAUA ELAIKM KEShR NSIThM BMSA טז לא תנסו את-יהוה אלהיכם כאשר נסיתם במסה
17 You shall diligently keep the commandments of IAUA your God, and His testimonies, and His statutes, which He has commanded you. IZ ShMUR ThShMRUN ETh-MTsUTh IAUA ELAIKM UODThIU UChQIU EShR TsUK יז שמור תשמרון את-מצות יהוה אלהיכם ועדתיו וחקיו אשר צוך
18 You shall do that which is right and good in the sight of IAUA; that it may be well with you, and that you may go in and possess the good land which IAUA swore to your fathers, ICh UOShITh AIShR UATUB BOINI IAUA LMON IITB LK UBETh UIRShTh ETh-AERTs ATBA EShR-NShBO IAUA LEBThIK יח ועשית הישר והטוב בעיני יהוה למען ייטב לך ובאת וירשת את-הארץ הטבה אשר-נשבע יהוה לאבתיך
19 to thrust out all your enemies from before you, as IAUA has spoken. IT LADF ETh-KL-EIBIK MFNIK KEShR DBR IAUA יט להדף את-כל-איביך מפניך כאשר דבר יהוה
20 When your son asks you in time to come, saying: 'What mean the testimonies, and the statutes, and the ordinances, which IAUA our God has commanded you? K KI-IShELK BNK MChR LEMR MA AODTh UAChQIM UAMShFTIM EShR TsUA IAUA ELAINU EThKM כ כי-ישאלך בנך מחר לאמר מה העדת והחקים והמשפטים אשר צוה יהוה אלהינו אתכם
21 then you shall say to your son: 'We were Pharaoh's bondmen in Egypt; and IAUA brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand. KE UEMRTh LBNK OBDIM AIINU LFROA BMTsRIM UITsIENU IAUA MMTsRIM BID ChZQA כא ואמרת לבנך עבדים היינו לפרעה במצרים ויציאנו יהוה ממצרים ביד חזקה
22 IAUA showed signs and wonders, great and sore, on Egypt, on Pharaoh, and on all his house, before our eyes. KB UIThN IAUA EUThTh UMFThIM GDLIM UROIM BMTsRIM BFROA UBKL-BIThU LOININU כב ויתן יהוה אותת ומפתים גדלים ורעים במצרים בפרעה ובכל-ביתו לעינינו
23 He brought us out from there, that He might bring us in, to give us the land which He swore to our fathers. KG UEUThNU AUTsIE MShM LMON ABIE EThNU LThTh LNU ETh-AERTs EShR NShBO LEBThINU כג ואותנו הוציא משם למען הביא אתנו לתת לנו את-הארץ אשר נשבע לאבתינו
24 IAUA commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear IAUA our God, for our good always, that He might preserve us alive, as it is at this day. 25 It shall be righteousness to us, if we observe to do all this commandment before IAUA our God, as He has commanded us.' KA UTsDQA ThAIA-LNU KI-NShMR LOShUTh ETh-KL-AMTsUA AZETh LFNI IAUA ELAINU KEShR TsUNU כה וצדקה תהיה-לנו כי-נשמר לעשות את-כל-המצוה הזאת לפני יהוה אלהינו כאשר צונו

2 that you might fear IAUA your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments, which I command you, you, and your son, and your son's son, all the days of your life; and that your days may be prolonged.
