| 6 IAUA repented concerning this; 'This also shall not be', says the Lord IAUA. | U NChM IAUA OL-ZETh GM-AIE LE ThAIA EMR EDNI IAUA | ו נחם יהוה על-זאת גם-היא לא תהיה אמר אדני יהוה | ||
| 7 Thus He showed me; and, behold, the Lord stood beside a wall made by a plumbline, with a plumbline in His hand. | Z KA ARENI UANA EDNI NTsB OL-ChUMTh ENK UBIDU ENK | ז כה הראני והנה אדני נצב על-חומת אנך ובידו אנך | ||
| 8 IAUA said to me: 'Amos, what see you?' I said: 'A plumbline.' | 9 The high places of Isaac shall be desolate, and the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste; and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword. | T UNShMU BMUTh IShChQ UMQDShI IShREL IChRBU UQMThI OL-BITh IRBOM BChRB | ט ונשמו במות ישחק ומקדשי ישראל יחרבו וקמתי על-בית ירבעם בחרב | ||
| 10 Then Amaziah the priest of Beth-el sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying: 'Amos has conspired against you in the middle of the house of Israel; the land is not able to bear all his words. | I UIShLCh EMTsIA KAN BITh-EL EL-IRBOM MLK-IShREL LEMR QShR OLIK OMUS BQRB BITh IShREL LE-ThUKL AERTs LAKIL ETh-KL-DBRIU | י וישלח אמציה כהן בית-אל אל-ירבעם מלך-ישראל לאמר קשר עליך עמוס בקרב בית ישראל לא-תוכל הארץ להכיל את-כל-דבריו | ||
| 11 For thus Amos says: Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of his land.' | IE KI-KA EMR OMUS BChRB IMUTh IRBOM UIShREL GLA IGLA MOL EDMThU | יא כי-כה אמר עמוס בחרב ימות ירבעם וישראל גלה יגלה מעל אדמתו | ||
| 12 Also Amaziah said to Amos: 'O you seer, go, flee you away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there; | IB UIEMR EMTsIA EL-OMUS ChZA LK BRCh-LK EL-ERTs IAUDA UEKL-ShM LChM UShM ThNBE | יב ויאמר אמציה אל-עמוס חזה לך ברח-לך אל-ארץ יהודה ואכל-שם לחם ושם תנבא | ||

| 15 and IAUA took me from following the flock, and IAUA said to me: Go, prophesy to My people Israel. | TU UIQChNI IAUA MEChRI ATsEN UIEMR ELI IAUA LK ANBE EL-OMI IShREL | טו ויקחני יהוה מאחרי הצאן ויאמר אלי יהוה לך הנבא אל-עמי ישראל | ||
| 16 Now therefore hear you the word of IAUA: You say: Prophesy not against Israel, and preach not against the house of Isaac; | TZ UOThA ShMO DBR-IAUA EThA EMR LE ThNBE OL-IShREL ULE ThTIF OL-BITh IShChQ | טז ועתה שמע דבר-יהוה אתה אמר לא תנבא על-ישראל ולא תטיף על-בית ישחק | ||
