| 4 Notwithstanding the king's word prevailed against Joab, and against the captains of the host. | 10 David's heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. | 16 When the angel stretched out his hand toward Jerusalem to destroy it, IAUA repented Him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people: 'It is enough; now stay your hand.' | 20 Araunah looked forth, and saw the king and his servants coming on toward him; and Araunah went out, and bowed down before the king with his face to the ground. | K UIShQF ERUNA UIRE ETh-AMLK UETh-OBDIU OBRIM OLIU UITsE ERUNA UIShThChU LMLK EFIU ERTsA | כ וישקף ארונה וירא את-המלך ואת-עבדיו עברים עליו ויצא ארונה וישתחו למלך אפיו ארצה | ||
| 21 Araunah said: 'Wherefore is my lord the king come to his servant?' | 23 All this did Araunah the king give to the king. Araunah said to the king: 'IAUA your God accept you.' | KG AKL NThN ERUNA AMLK LMLK UIEMR ERUNA EL-AMLK IAUA ELAIK IRTsK | כג הכל נתן ארונה המלך למלך ויאמר ארונה אל-המלך יהוה אלהיך ירצך | ||
| 24 The king said to Araunah: 'Nay; but I will verily buy it of you at a price; neither will I offer burnt-offerings to IAUA my God which cost me nothing.' | 25 David built there an altar to IAUA, and offered burnt-offerings and peace-offerings.
