David Made King over Judah | ||||
| 1 It came to pass after this, that David inquired of IAUA, saying: 'Shall I go up into any of the cities of Judah?' IAUA said to him: 'Go up.' David said: 'Whither shall I go up?' | 4 The men of Judah came, and they there anointed David king over the house of Judah. | 6 Now IAUA show kindness and truth to you; and I also will requite you this kindness, because you have done this thing. | U UOThA IOSh-IAUA OMKM ChSD UEMTh UGM ENKI EOShA EThKM ATUBA AZETh EShR OShIThM ADBR AZA | ו ועתה יעש-יהוה עמכם חסד ואמת וגם אנכי אעשה אתכם הטובה הזאת אשר עשיתם הדבר הזה | ||

| 10 Ish-bosheth Saul's son was forty years old when he began to reign over Israel, and he reigned two years. | 11 The time that David was king in Hebron over the house of Judah was seven years and six months. | IE UIAI MSFR AIMIM EShR AIA DUD MLK BChBRUN OL-BITh IAUDA ShBO ShNIM UShShA ChDShIM | יא ויהי מספר הימים אשר היה דוד מלך בחברון על-בית יהודה שבע שנים וששה חדשים | ||
| 12 Abner the son of Ner, and the servants of Ish-bosheth the son of Saul, went out from Mahanaim to Gibeon. | IB UITsE EBNR BN-NR UOBDI EISh-BShTh BN-ShEUL MMChNIM GBOUNA | יב ויצא אבנר בן-נר ועבדי איש-בשת בן-שאול ממחנים גבעונה | ||

| 21 Abner said to him: 'Turn you aside to your right hand or to your left, and lay you hold on one of the young men, and take you his armour.' | 32 They took up Asahel, and buried him in the sepulchre of his father, which was in Beth-lehem.
