The Woman of Tekoa

1 Now Joab the son of Zeruiah perceived that the king's heart was toward Absalom.   E UIDO IUEB BN-TsRIA KI-LB AMLK OL-EBShLUM   א וידע יואב בן-צריה כי-לב המלך על-אבשלום
2 Joab sent to Tekoa, and fetched there a wise woman, and said to her: 'I pray you, feign yourself to be a mourner, and put on mourning apparel, I pray you, and anoint not yourself with oil, but be as a woman that had a long time mourned for the dead;   B UIShLCh IUEB ThQUOA UIQCh MShM EShA ChKMA UIEMR ELIA AThEBLI-NE ULBShI-NE BGDI-EBL UEL-ThSUKI ShMN UAIITh KEShA ZA IMIM RBIM MThEBLTh OL-MTh   ב וישלח יואב תקועה ויקח משם אשה חכמה ויאמר אליה התאבלי-נא ולבשי-נא בגדי-אבל ואל-תסוכי שמן והיית כאשה זה ימים רבים מתאבלת על-מת

7 And, behold, the whole family is risen against your handmaid, and they said: Deliver him that smote his brother, that we may kill him for the life of his brother whom he slew, and so destroy the heir also.
