The Building of the Temple | ||||

| 5 Against the wall of the house he built a side-structure round about, against the walls of the house round about, both of the temple and of the sanctuary; and he made side-chambers round about; | A UIBN OL-QIR ABITh ITsUO (ITsIO) SBIB ETh-QIRUTh ABITh SBIB LAIKL ULDBIR UIOSh TsLOUTh SBIB | ה ויבן על-קיר הבית יצוע (יציע) סביב את-קירות הבית סביב להיכל ולדביר ויעש צלעות סביב | ||

| 8 The door for the lowest row of chambers was in the right side of the house and they went up by winding stairs into the middle row, and out of the middle into the third. | Ch FThCh ATsLO AThIKNA EL-KThF ABITh AIMNITh UBLULIM IOLU OL-AThIKNA UMN-AThIKNA EL-AShLShIM | ח פתח הצלע התיכנה אל-כתף הבית הימנית ובלולים יעלו על-התיכנה ומן-התיכנה אל-השלשים | ||
| 9 So he built the house, and finished it; and he covered in the house with planks of cedar over beams. | T UIBN ETh-ABITh UIKLAU UISFN ETh-ABITh GBIM UShDRTh BERZIM | ט ויבן את-הבית ויכלהו ויספן את-הבית גבים ושדרת בארזים | ||
| 10 He built the stories of the side-structure against all the house, each five cubits high; and they rested on the house with timber of cedar. | I UIBN ETh-AITsUO (AITsIO) OL-KL-ABITh ChMSh EMUTh QUMThU UIEChZ ETh-ABITh BOTsI ERZIM | י ויבן את-היצוע (היציע) על-כל-הבית חמש אמות קומתו ויאחז את-הבית בעצי ארזים | ||
| 11 The word of IAUA came to Solomon, saying: | IE UIAI DBR-IAUA EL-ShLMA LEMR | יא ויהי דבר-יהוה אל-שלמה לאמר | ||
| 12 'As for this house which you are building, if you will walk in My statutes, and execute Mine ordinances, and keep all My commandments to walk in them; then will I establish My word with you, which I spoke to David your father; | IB ABITh AZA EShR-EThA BNA EM-ThLK BChQThI UETh-MShFTI ThOShA UShMRTh ETh-KL-MTsUThI LLKTh BAM UAQMThI ETh-DBRI EThK EShR DBRThI EL-DUD EBIK | יב הבית הזה אשר-אתה בנה אם-תלך בחקתי ואת-משפטי תעשה ושמרת את-כל-מצותי ללכת בהם והקמתי את-דברי אתך אשר דברתי אל-דוד אביך | ||
| 13 in that I will dwell therein among the children of Israel, and will not forsake My people Israel.' | IG UShKNThI BThUK BNI IShREL ULE EOZB ETh-OMI IShREL | יג ושכנתי בתוך בני ישראל ולא אעזב את-עמי ישראל | ||
| 14 So Solomon built the house, and finished it. | ID UIBN ShLMA ETh-ABITh UIKLAU | יד ויבן שלמה את-הבית ויכלהו | ||
| 15 He built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar; from the floor of the house to the joists of the ceiling, he covered them on the inside with wood; and he covered the floor of the house with boards of cypress. | TU UIBN ETh-QIRUTh ABITh MBIThA BTsLOUTh ERZIM MQRQO ABITh OD-QIRUTh ASFN TsFA OTs MBITh UITsF ETh-QRQO ABITh BTsLOUTh BRUShIM | טו ויבן את-קירות הבית מביתה בצלעות ארזים מקרקע הבית עד-קירות הספן צפה עץ מבית ויצף את-קרקע הבית בצלעות ברושים | ||

| 17 The house, that is, the temple before [the Sanctuary], was forty cubits long. | IZ UERBOIM BEMA AIA ABITh AUE AAIKL LFNI | יז וארבעים באמה היה הבית הוא ההיכל לפני | ||
| 18 The cedar on the house within was carved with knops and open flowers; all was cedar; there was no stone seen. | ICh UERZ EL-ABITh FNIMA MQLOTh FQOIM UFTURI TsTsIM AKL ERZ EIN EBN NREA | יח וארז אל-הבית פנימה מקלעת פקעים ופטורי צצים הכל ארז אין אבן נראה | ||
| 19 He prepared the Sanctuary in the middle of the house within, to set there the ark of the covenant of IAUA. | IT UDBIR BThUK-ABITh MFNIMA AKIN LThThN ShM ETh-ERUN BRITh IAUA | יט ודביר בתוך-הבית מפנימה הכין לתתן שם את-ארון ברית יהוה | ||

| 23 In the Sanctuary he made two cherubim of olive-wood, each ten cubits high. | KG UIOSh BDBIR ShNI KRUBIM OTsI-ShMN OShR EMUTh QUMThU | כג ויעש בדביר שני כרובים עצי-שמן עשר אמות קומתו | ||

| 26 The height of the one cherub was ten cubits, and so was it of the other cherub. | KU QUMTh AKRUB AEChD OShR BEMA UKN AKRUB AShNI | כו קומת הכרוב האחד עשר באמה וכן הכרוב השני | ||

| 31 For the entrance of the Sanctuary he made doors of olive-wood, the door-posts within the frame having five angles. | LE UETh FThCh ADBIR OShA DLThUTh OTsI-ShMN AEIL MZUZUTh ChMShITh | לא ואת פתח הדביר עשה דלתות עצי-שמן האיל מזוזות חמשית | ||

| 38 In the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth month, was the house finished throughout all the parts thereof, and according to all the fashion of it.
